Adam Peaty has now been accused of ‘uninviting’ Olympic swimmer Michael Gunning from his wedding, amid the ongoing feud with his family.
Olympic gold medalist Michael was allegedly shunned from Adam, 31, and Holly Ramsay’s, 25, nuptials over the weekend after he got ‘too close’ to Adam’s estranged mother Caroline amid the fallout.
His mother Caroline was left devastated when she was disinvited last month when a feud erupted over her not being invited to Holly’s hen do.
Just days before their wedding, Michel shared a cryptic post about being ‘dropped by friends and left broken by them’ as he reflected on the past year.
Michael wrote: ‘Wishing everyone a magical and festive week! This year has been crazy… I’ve travelled the world, had incredible new opportunities, learnt more about myself, made mistakes and taken risks, been dropped by friends, but made unexpected new ones, been told “no” far too many times but stepped fully outside of my comfort zone.
‘Life isn’t always perfect, and if you’d told me two years ago where I’d be now, I wouldn’t have believed you. But I’m learning that change can be a really beautiful thing and you should never stop fighting for your dream!’

Olympic gold medalist Michael was allegedly shunned from Adam and Holly Ramsay’s nuptials over the weekend after he got ‘too close’ to Adam’s estranged mother Caroline amid the fallout
Sources claim that Michael – who did attend the newlyweds’ engagement party last year – was uninvited because he got too close to Caroline.
An insider told The Sun: ‘It’s not just Adam’s family who’ve been affected by the wedding feud, some old friends have been too. Michael was once very close to Adam and Holly and even attended their engagement party last year.
‘But he was uninvited from the wedding as he got too close to Caroline, who has been vocal about being estranged from her son.
‘The family have been in touch with him and he said he is feeling very hurt by the couple – especially Adam, given how publicly supportive he was of Adam when he went through a rough time in 2023.
‘Given how close they once were, Michael never would have seen this coming. Adam really has broken us all by acting this way and now to hurt and snub Michael, the kindest and most genuine person out there, says it all really. It’s clear how much Adam has changed.’
Adam and former Great Britain and Jamaica swimmer Michael trained alongside each other in the Team GB squad.
When Adam was first signed to Strictly Come Dancing, Michael threw his support for the swimmer on social media – proving how close their friendship really was.
He wrote: ‘We have an exciting few month coming up because it’s just been announced that Adam will be competing in Strictly Come Dancing this year! I can’t tell you how EXCITED I am.

Daily Mail has contacted Adam, Holly and Michael’s representatives for comment.
Adam is also said to have ‘brutally’ uninvited his great aunt and uncle from his wedding, just days before.
Now it’s been reported Adam barred his great aunt Janet, 73, and uncle Eddie from attending Bath Abbey for the nuptials.
The crushing news was delivered last week, just four days before the big day.
A source said: ‘They got an automated message basically saying they were off the guest list and to respect Adam and Holly’s decision.’
They added to The Sun: ‘It was so impersonal, and just four days before the big day.’
The publication went on to say that due to the short notice, Janet and Eddie had already forked out ‘hundreds’ of pounds on gifts, outfits and accommodation.

She was handpicked by her sibling’s bride Holly Ramsay to be one of her three Maids of Honour for her lavish wedding.
Walking arm in arm with the bride’s sisters Tilly and Megan, Bethany, 32, beamed as she headed into the Abbey, whilst her heartbroken mother Caroline watched on 130 miles away in the Staffordshire family home, which she once shared with her estranged son and Bethany.
But whilst the newlyweds have jetted away from the family drama and headed off on honeymoon, Bethany has been left to face the music.
Insiders have claimed that Bethany’s decision to not only attend the wedding but also to accept such a prominent role in the bridal party has left her mother feeling ‘betrayed.’
Adam’s father Mark was the only person beside Beth asked to attend their big day, however he was told he’d have to sit at the back ‘behind the plus ones’.
‘Beth has betrayed her mum to see what she can get out of being the only family member who gets on with Adam and Holly,’ the source alleges, claiming that Bethany has changed since striking up a close friendship with Holly.
‘This isn’t the Bethany we all know, she’s changed her appearance and personality to fit in with the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle,’ the source added to The Sun.
Bethany is one of Adam’s three siblings, with the swimmer also having two brothers, James and Richard, who were also both barred from the wedding.
Bethany struck up a close bond with Holly soon after she started dating Adam in the spring of 2023.
In December 2024 she happily shared snaps from her brother and Holly’s December 2024 engagement party, cuddled up with the bride-to-be.
Fast forward to Holly’s Soho Farmhouse hen do in November 2025 and Bethany earned pride of place in Holly’s ‘Team Bride’ carousel of Instagram snaps, posing with the bride, her mum Tana and her sisters for one cosy photo.
Bethany’s fiancé Dan meanwhile is believed to be close to Adam, attending his Budapest Stag do last month.
