Nicki Minaj’s Shocking Claims Against Jay-Z’s Roc Nation in Online Rant

Nicki Minaj appeared to vent a series of grievances she has with Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation in a series of cryptic social media posts over the past few days.

The Grammy-nominated singer, 42, did not directly name Jay-Z or any of his associates in the series of X posts she sent – but implied that she’s been sabotaged professionally by the musical monolith.

‘Barbz, that’s the REAL reason I won’t release music,’ the Super Bass artist, 42, addressed her fans on the platform, alluding to the troubled business relationship.

The Barbie Tingz singer appeared to link Jay-Z‘s company to ‘distractions’ she’s endured that have hindered her from releasing new material. (Her most recent album was 2023’s Pink Friday 2.)

In a series of X posts about reports from her fans about being shadowbanned, Minaj posted an apparent reference to the Empire State of Mind rapper, who has worked with the NFL for years via a Roc Nation partnership: “NFL FIRE SOME N***** & den [phone emoji].”

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Minaj and Roc Nation for further comment on this story.

The Anaconda artist – who has past spoken about her disdain for life in the limelight – also said that an unnamed party had been seeking to damage her relationship with her spouse Kenneth Petty.

In reference to her relationship with Petty – whose own troubled past has caused her headaches – Minaj said people are ‘trying to tear a husband away from his wife & family.’

Minaj wrote that efforts to turn Petty against her have involved ‘lies and friends in high places.’ (Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in April 1995 and remains on the sex registry.)

The rapper said her fans have informed her of a number of ways they have been impacted by the bad business relationship with Roc Nation.

Minaj said: ‘Needing the Barbz is @ an all time high for every distraction. So let me start talking about what I’ve found out. About them.’

Minaj also said that the social media accounts held by she and her followers were being shadowbanned in a clear effort to injure her brand, encouraging her fans to document the troubles they run into on her platforms.

‘Barbz save all info on everytime you get flagged or suspended & what platform it’s on,’ said the vocalist, whose full name is Onika Tanya Maraj.

The Trinidad and Tobago-born songstress promised the ‘confirmations’ would be ‘real juicy.’
