Dermot Mulroney Files for Divorce from Prima Apollinaare After 14 Years

My Best Friend’s Wedding star Dermot Mulroney has filed for divorce from his longtime wife, Prima Apollinaare, after 14 years of marriage. 

In court documents, obtained by TMZ, the 61-year-old actor is reportedly asking for spousal support and the court ‘to block her from getting any support from him.’

The former couple, who share two minor children, are both are still listed at the same Sherman Oaks address.

This indicates that they are still cohabiting following their split or just sharing a mailing address for now.

At this time, it is unknown how they are seeking to handle custody and child support. 

In addition to their daughters Mabel Ray, 15, and Sally Mulroney, 17, Mulroney shares a 26-year-old son, named Clyde, with his ex-wife Catherine Keener.

Mulroney is best known for his role in the 1997 hit romantic comedy, My Best Friend’s Wedding, alongside Julia Roberts.

In the film, he plays Michael O’Neal a sports reporter, whose best friend (Roberts) develops a crush on him, despite his engagement to another woman (Cameron Diaz).

My Best Friend’s Wedding opened June 20, 1997 at No. 2 in the box office after Batman & Robin, grossing $127 million against a $38 million budget.
