Charlotte Chilton has revealed that she has finally returned home after spending more than two weeks in the hospital recovering from brain surgery.
The Traitors star, 32, was rushed to A&E earlier this month after suffering a ‘terrible’ trigeminal neuralgia attack, leaving her in agonising pain that she branded ‘physical torture’.
As a result, she underwent neurosurgery to bring long term relief for the chronic condition – which is sometimes called ‘the suicide disease’ because of impact the severe pain has on sufferers’ mental health.
But taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Charlotte revealed that she had been discharged at last, after spending the last 18 days in hospital and had been reunited with her one-year-old daughter Penelope.
Sharing a tired selfie of her in her bathroom, she wrote: ‘After 18 days in hospital finally getting this bath I had dreamed about.
‘Still a recovery to go but at least I’m with my little Penny again! And yes this is filtered, I look like horrendous s*** if not’.

Charlotte has previously opened up about her battle with trigeminal neuralgia (TN), already having had brain surgery in her twenties, before this most recent severe flare up.
The disorder causes sudden, severe facial pain, that us often described as sharp or shooting, or like having an electric shock in the jaw, teeth or gums.
People with the condition may experience attacks of pain regularly for days, weeks or months at a time and in severe cases attacks may happen hundreds of times a day.
The NHS states: ‘Living with trigeminal neuralgia can be very difficult. It can have a significant impact on a person’s quality of life, resulting in problems such as weight loss, isolation and depression.’
Earlier this month, Charlotte told fans how she was left in ‘physical torture’ due to her symptoms and heartbreakingly wrote: ‘they call this the suicide disease for a reason.’
Sharing a snap in her hospital gown in bed ahead of the surgery, she penned: ‘As many of you know I have tried raise awareness of the condition trigeminal neuralgia.
‘I have unfortunately found myself back in hospital with a terrible attack and this has resulted in me needing another neuro surgery to control it.
‘Having surgery on your brain is always daunting, however this has long term relief and allows me to get on with my life.

‘After being rushed into A and E with a huge attack, I have been taken care of by the amazing Neuro team at QE hospital and today I have an operation to relieve me off my physical torture.
‘For my TN followers keep fighting to find the right team to support you. They call this the suicide disease for a reason.
‘I’m so grateful for my family and friends who have supported me through this hellish week! Wish me luck and see you on the other side!!’
Last January, Charlotte told how she was left so devastated by the agonising pain disorder that she considered taking her own life.
Since leaving the show, the television personality has spoken out about the chronic condition she suffers with, which has caused her to miss out ‘on a lot of things in life’.
She told Metro.co.uk she ‘didn’t want to live anymore’ as she struggled with the pain and had a ‘terrible time’ after having brain surgery in her twenties to treat the condition.
She explained: ‘You don’t know when you’re going to have your next pain and when you do have your pain, it can be managed sometimes with painkillers or it can be to a point you’re screaming, you want to stick a knife in your face because it’s unbearable.
‘It’s actually known as the ‘suicide disease’ because it has such a high percentage of people who [die by] suicide because it’s just agony. It’s the worst pain condition you can have.’
An emotional Charlotte admitted she had missed out in life because of the condition, adding: ‘I didn’t want to live anymore. I was at my worst.’
While her then-wife Laura found a surgeon to treat the reality star, her situation took a horrific turn for the worse when she was involved in a car accident.
After hitting her head the pains came back and she was rushed into hospital to have the surgery performed again.
Charlotte said her nerve was ‘shredded’ as part of the operation in a bid to help her but the recovery the second time was a lot longer and she suffered from short-term memory loss.
As part of her recovery, she had to learn to eat, talk and walk again, and also had to work on her coordination.
However, while she has been recovering in hospital following this latest attack, Conor Mayard has continued to stoke the fires of their ongoing paternity feud

However, while she has been recovering in hospital following this latest attack, Conor Mayard has continued to stoke the fires of their ongoing paternity feud.
The star claimed in June last year that Conor was allegedly the father of her unborn ‘miracle’ baby, having fallen pregnant as a result of a one-night stand and going on to welcome baby Penelope,
Two paternity tests have since found that the singer, 33, who recently announced his engagement to his girlfriend Kitty Bertrand, is not the father, although Charlotte has staunchly insisted he is the dad and the test res
And just hours before Charlotte revealed she was having brain surgery, Conor took to TikTok to take a swipe at her, by using a popular trend that sees users revealing a line they say too much while Tame Impala’s 2015 track The Less I Know the Better plays.
As the words ‘so come on superman… say your stupid line’ appeared on the screen., the camera cut to Conor’s most overused line which is a direct nod to his paternity row with Charlotte, reading: ‘Are you SURE you didn’t sleep with anyone else?’
Followers were left split by Conor’s decision to once again bring up the paternity row, in light of Charlotte’s surgery as well as her recent vow that she is taking a step back from social media after months of back and forth.
Last month, Charlotte vowed to step back from social media amid her and Conor’s ongoing feud, sharing a lengthy statement about the mental toll the saga has put upon her and vowed to step back for her mental health.
Charlotte wrote: ‘I recently shared my story in an interview with The Sun, where I was able to speak openly and honestly – to address all speculation and share my truth…

In November she took to Instagram to share a lengthy statement about the mental toll the saga has put upon her and vowed to step back for her mental health
‘This has always been about my daughter, her paternity, her right to have her birth certificate reflect the truth, and to understand her medical heritage…
‘It has never been about money or fame. I am blessed to have a strong, loving family who have supported me from the beginning and continue to stand beside me. I have told my story, and I have told the truth…
‘For my own well-being and most importantly for the protection of my daughter. I will not allow myself or my daughter to be used for anyone’s personal gain…
‘As Conor himself said: ‘All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of this and that should not be forgotten’… Sadly that reminder seems to have been forgotten – by him and by others…
‘To everyone who has shown kindness, understanding and support through this time – thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your compassion has meant more than words can express.’
In another plot twist, recently it was alleged by Conor that Charlotte slept with her Traitors co-star Jonny Holloway and claimed he could be the father.
However, Charlotte insisted this is untrue and continued to assert that Conor was her only romantic partner at the time.
