Brooke Warne has made a heartwarming tribute to her late father, Shane Warne.

The Australian sports icon, dubbed the King of Spin, died in March 2022, aged 52, of a heart attack.

And Brooke, 28, alongside her brother Jackson, 26, have taken to social media dressed in some of their father’s cricket outfits.

Taking to Instagram, Brooke announced she arrived at the Boxing Day Test against England on Day 2 in Melbourne wearing one of the champion bowlers’ shirts from 1998/1999 season.

Meanwhile, Jackson rocked out in Shane’s green and gold shirt from the 1996/1997 season.

She also proudly posed with her brother in front of the Shane Warne Stand, which was named in tribute to the cricket great shortly after his death three years ago and posted the moment to TikTok.

‘Your dad would be so proud. Your parents raised phenomenal humans. Incredible, really,’ said one follower on Instagram.

Simone Callhan, Shane’s ex and Brooke and Jackson’s mother, messaged four love heart emojis on her daughter’s post.

‘So awesome to be able to do,’ said another follower on Brooke’s post.

On Friday, Brooke and Jackson were joined on the boundary line by Australia great Ricky Ponting and former England skipper Michael Vaughan.

They led the crowd in the tribute with the quartet taking off their floppy white caps and bowing to the crowd, just as Warne had done during his final Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground during the 2007 Ashes series.

Brooke shared to TikTok a special detail about the tribute.

‘Love Ya Dad, miss you – love wearing one of Dad’s Ashes Shirts each Boxing Day! Feels extra special,’ she said.

The brother and sister also used the Test to promote their Shane Warne Legacy health initiative, which offers free check-ups.
