LILY Allen has revealed the truth behind getting a boob job after her split from ex-husband David Harbour.
The couple called it quits after Lily discovered David had been unfaithful.
Now Lily has come clean about the reason she had a boob job shortly after the break-up in a new interview in The Observer.
She said she lost weight after being left devastated by her divorce.
And Lily feared she would pile the weight back on, after checking herself into a £8,000 a week trauma centre in the US.
Opening up all things new album and body image, Lily has now shared that she had cosmetic work done because she felt it would better suit her body’s proportions if she got bigger.
She feared the weight would “go to her legs” adding: “Because I’ve always been really small up top, I was worried about becoming really bottom-heavy. And so I felt like…
“This is how I talk to myself.
“I felt like if I got boobs, it would make me feel better about gaining weight.
“So that was my reasoning.”
Lily said had lost a lot of weight due to the stressful nature of her divorce and shared how the split was “traumatic” for her in many ways.
She called it “devastating” and recounted how her two daughters – Ethel and Marnie – from a previous marriage to Sam Cooper would remark on her becoming visibly thinner.
She said: “I’d sit down at the breakfast table and try and get the girls to have their breakfast before school.
“And they’d go, “Mummy, your arms look so thin.;”
Despite the divorce‘s impact, David still stays in touch with his step kids, though Lily stays out of it.
“They’ve both got phones,” said Lily.
“They all text each other. I stay out of it.”
Lily and David first met back in 2019 through the celebrity dating app Raya.
They wed the following year in Las Vegas after a whirlwind romance.
Earlier this year she said she lost weight and suffered crippling panic attacks sparked by her heartbreak and was heading off to deal with her “pain”.
And after Lily went under the knife, fans online were referring to work as a “revenge boob job”.
She looked absolutely stunning out and about in figure-hugging dresses post-op, flaunting her enhanced cleavage.
