Jackass star Steve-O shocked radio listeners in Australia on Tuesday by making a candid confession about his years of rampant drug use.

Steve, 49, revealed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show he now has to avoid the smell of marijuana after being drug-free for 15 years.

‘When I smell marijuana I find it kind of upsetting. I don’t like breathing it into my lungs and what’s worse, I love the way it smells,’ he explained.

The London-born star said he always made an effort to avoid the really hard drugs, but he has tried almost everything.

‘I never tried heroin and if I tried crack cocaine I’m pretty sure I did it wrong. Other than that, I did everything,’ he said.

‘Any other disease, the best you can hope for is to get back to where you were before the disease. But for addicts, when we treat ourselves we become a better version than before.’

He said he was at peace with dying because he had achieved so much throughout his career as a daredevil stuntman.

‘The body is not a temple. It’s meant to be ridden until the wheels fall off,’ he added.

The daredevil travelled to Australia earlier this year for his The Bucket List Tour, but unfortunately he couldn’t bring along his Jackass co-star Bam Margera, 44.

Bam, who has struggled with drug and alcohol issues for years despite repeated efforts to get sober, was supposed to be joining Steve-O on the road.

But the former pro skateboarder was nowhere to be seen on his Australian tour.

In March, things went from bad to worse for the Viva La Bam star when he was arrested on domestic violence charges for allegedly kicking his new girlfriend.

San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Escondido, California, and Bam was later booked at the Vista Detention Facility on a charge of ‘corporal injury on a current or former spouse, cohabitant, dating partner or fellow parent’.

The alleged victim was not his estranged wife but rather Bam’s new girlfriend, who has not yet been identified.

Steve-O, who has been sober for years after also battling substance abuse issues, has done everything to help his friend.
