The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood made her Met Gala debut on Monday, though she did so with her co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger, which helped ease her nerves.
The 31-year-old actress – who played Chelsea on Season 3 of The White Lotus, the girlfriend of Walton Goggins’ Rick – was spotted on the red carpet with her 30-year-old co-star, who played Saxon Ratliff in the show.
While they originally weren’t supposed to arrive together, Wood revealed to Good Morning America on the red carpet that it seemed they both were nervous.
‘When I found out that Patrick and I could go in the car together, ‘cause originally we weren’t meant to go in the car together, and then we were both like, ‘Yeah, we need to go in the car together,’ and so we made it work,’ Wood began.
She added, ‘It feels amazing. It feels so special, and yeah, I’m glad that this is my first Met. It feels so wonderful and yeah, it feels like the perfect first Met.’
Patrick told Variety on the Met red carpet that he actually reached out to Wood about attending the annual bash together.

‘I texted Aimee. I heard Aimee was coming and I immediately texted her, and I said, “Can we please go together? I’m so nervous,” he said.
He added, ‘And she was like, “I was gonna text you the same thing!” And I was like, “Perfect.” So we met up, I went to her hotel and we showed up together and it was great.’

While this was Wood’s Met debut, Monday’s bash marked Schwarzenegger’s third time at the Met, following appearances in 2019 and 2022.
The co-stars and friends also poke in a joint interview with Vogue from the bash, with Wood stating, ‘We are very excited. It’s my first.’
Patrick added it was his third time and, ‘it was my advice that we go together,’ adding, ‘we’re both nervous and terrified and it makes it so much more fun when you get to have a good friend with you.’
The actor said he started getting ready at 5:15 PM and got to her hotel by 6 PM, though when Wood was asked when she started getting ready, she said, ‘Noon.’
There were also two other White Lotus stars at the Met, both making their debuts, Walton Goggins and Lisa from Blackpink, who played Mook in the season.

‘I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever. I actually saw him two days ago,’ she said.
‘We haven’t had that much time to debrief about everything. So every time we see each other, there’s never time,’ Wood added.
Both Wood’s Chelsea and Goggins’ Rick were two of the three victims revealed in The White Lotus Season 3 finale, along with Scott Glenn’s Jim Hollinger.
