The Steve Carell-fronted show, which ran for nine series from 2005 to 2013, is said to be returning to screens after writers Matthew Belloni and Jonathan Handel previously claimed creator Greg Daniels is working on a comeback.
Now, Melora, who starred on the series as Jan Levinson, has admitted that she has ‘ran some ideas past Greg.’
Speaking in an interview with The U.S. Sun, she explained: ‘That is up to Greg, because he is the maestro. I would certainly show up. I think a lot of us would.
‘I would love to make a film because then it would just be quick and we would do it. I think we could bring everybody back for that.’
She added: ‘I actually have talked to Greg about some ideas. I thought this would be funny if Jan was like a self-help guru because she was so kind of flawed.’
In the wake of the WGA strikes in September former The Hollywood Reporter journalist Matthew and entertainment writer Jonathan penned: ‘Greg Daniels is set to do a reboot of The Office, for instance’.
Their article for The Puck came in response to news that the The Writers Guild of America had struck a tentative deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers – but the Guild warned: ‘No one is to return to work until specifically authorized.’
The duo mused over other projects saying: ‘Disney’s Dana Walden will finally be able to announce the return of her BFF Ryan Murphy from Netflix.
‘A ton of high-profile movie scripts will come in. The industry will chug back to normal.’

Last year, Greg said: ‘I can’t tell whether fans would want more of it, and when I say more of it, I don’t think it would be the same characters…
‘I think it would just be sort of like an extension of the universe, you know what I mean, like the way ‘[The] Mandalorian’ is like an extension of ‘Star Wars.’ But I don’t know if that would be something people would want or not, it’s hard to tell.’
This US adaptation of the show, which is set at a paper company based in Pennsylvania, was inspired by the Ricky Gervais-led British original.
The Office became a cultural phenomenon when the US version was created, and the series finale was viewed by a staggering 5.69m in 2013.
The highest viewed episode was a two-parter in the fifth season called Stress Relief” and was watched by 22.9m viewers.
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant created the original show with BBC’s The Office which ran for two seasons and a Christmas special from 2001 to 2003.
