This child actress played the youngest daughter of America’s most famous blended family.
As the baby of the family, she charmed families at home with her bubbly personality, bleach blonde pigtails, bright blue eyes, endearing lisp and even her gossiping habits.
Later in life, this actress would find herself in controversy when she was fired in 2016 for going off on a homophobic rant against an openly gay actor.
She also claimed that a ‘woke’ reboot of that beloved family sitcom was axed over her conservative political views.
And last week she almost got into a major driving whoopsie as bystanders ran to prevent the disaster.
Can you guess who?

It’s Susan Olsen!
The 63-year-old former child star made a rare public outing near her home in Southern California to go grocery shopping after work.
After loading up the trunk, she headed to the Vibe Performing Arts Center in Santa Clarita where she teaches movie-making, comedy and acting in workshops for young children.
But disaster almost struck the Brady Bunch actress as she pulled out of her parking spot with her packed SUV trunk wide open.
A kind bystander, dressed in a white muscle tee, a blue baseball cap and cargo shorts, quickly sprang into action, rushing to her driver’s side with his arms raised to prevent her bins – filled with clothes and other items – from tumbling out.
Olsen shut the trunk without leaving the car and then made her way to the grocery store, where she was seen carrying her groceries in tote bags, sporting a loose black t-shirt, blue jeans, cat-eye sunglasses and white sneakers.

The now-retired actress starred as Cindy, the baby of the Brady Bunch, on the long-running sitcom that ran from 1969 to 1974.
She was cast for the role at the age of eight and stayed on till the show wrapped but she found getting another starring role in Hollywood almost impossible.
Instead, most of Olsen’s acting gigs were Brady Bunch reboots where she’d reprise her role in The Brady Bunch Hour (1976-77) The Brady Bride (1981), the short-lived series The Bradys (1990) and a HGTV miniseries A Very Brady Renovation (2019).
Despite Cindy being known for providing a sense of innocence and warmth to the family’s everyday adventures, Olsen has landed herself in a heap of controversy throughout the years.
A rumor shadowed here over the years that she was in the porn industry – which she confirmed to on a radio show was true.
But she didn’t star in the raunchy movies, instead she helped out a friend who edited porn movies by making space shop noises with her synthesizer for $50.

The last time the original Brady Bunch siblings all came together was for HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation in 2019, which brought in record ratings

Olsen landed herself in hot water in December 2016 when she was fired from her hosting gig at LA Talk radio after going off on a homophobic rant against openly gay actor Leon Acord-Whiting
In December 2016, Olsen was again in hot water when she was fired from her hosting gig at LA Talk radio after going off on a homophobic rant against openly gay actor Leon Acord-Whiting.
The former child star took to Facebook to unleash a series of status updates targeted towards Acord-Whiting after he criticized her following an appearance on her show ‘Two Chicks Talkin Politics’ with co-host Sheena Metal.
‘It is wildly irresponsible for LA Talk Radio to allow a Trump fanatic to co-host one of their programs, where she can spew her idiotic lies unchecked,’ Acord-Whiting wrote.
Acord-Whiting then cited some of Olsen’s false claims, including that ‘being a liberal and a patriot are mutually exclusive’, ‘Hillary (Clinton) is causing the protests and hate crimes’ and ‘the Koran is a political tract’.
In response, Olsen went on a tirade calling him the ‘p***y of the year’ and saying ‘You f*****g snake in the grass. Don’t have the nads to stand up to me?’
Even utilizing her famous role, she spewed: ‘You don’t have the balls to stand up to Cindy Brady? WHAT A P***Y YOU ARE!!!’

Olsen claimed that she was sacked from a Brady Bunch reboot series after network executives discovered all the politically incorrect comments she had made over the years

Her first marriage to Steve Ventimiglia lasted from 1988 to 1990. Then she married Mitch Markwell, who she had her son Michael with before they divorced in 2004
Then in 2024, Olsen claimed that a ‘woke’ reboot of the Brady Bunch series was axed over her conservative political views and revealed that the proposed series would’ve had black and transgender characters.
She also spilled that her character Cindy would’ve been a Libertarian podcaster on the series while Jan Brady, played by outspoken liberal Eve Plumb, would have a transgender child.
But these plans were dashed when CBS dida deep-dive on her social media accounts which showed she had been outspoken against the Covid vaccine, mandates and masking.
Olsen was married twice. Her first marriage to Steve Ventimiglia lasted from 1988 to 1990.
Then she married Mitch Markwell from 1995 to 2004, with whom she had her son Michael, named after Bobby Brady’s actor Mike Lookinland.
