Sonia Kruger has reportedly splashed out an estimated $16.1million on a decrepit waterside property on Sydney’s lower north shore.
Located in Mosman, 7km from the CBD, the deceased estate overlooks Balmoral Beach and boasts breathtaking views of Middle Harbour.
The three-bedroom, one-bathroom pad went under the hammer at auction for $4.6million above the reserve price on Saturday.
Kruger, 59, and her partner Craig McPherson are believed to be the buyers, though agents involved in the sale would not confirm any details, according to The Mosman Daily.
The publication said that the property, which is in an advanced state of disrepair, has been with the same family for generations.
Marketed as a ‘blank slate’, the 743 square metre block listing was spruiked as a ‘rare opportunity to build from scratch’.

The east-facing block is situated on high ground in the sought-after Balmoral slopes neighbourhood and offers panoramic harbour views.
Kruger and McPherson made headlines in March when they sold off their nearby five-bedroom luxury pad for an estimated $20million.
The 59-year-old and her TV executive partner Craig McPherson purchased the beachside Mosman home for $6.5million in 2015.
Kruger and McPherson listed the home for an eye-watering $18.5million in November.
The Gold Logie winner renovated the five-bedroom, four-bathroom house shortly after purchasing it and the couple have now earned triple what they purchased it for.
The renovations, which were interrupted in 2020 by the COVID pandemic, included a large scale exterior rendering as well as a complete re-build of their third floor.
The third floor now boasts a wrap around balcony, outdoor kitchen, dining table and lounge area.
Two smaller balconies and a stunning cathedral ceiling could originally be seen in the top level, but that was all knocked down to build their sleek new al-fresco space.

The home also includes a porch with an additional outdoor dining table, and lounge on the ground floor terrace which leads down to the family’s perfectly maintained lawn.
The lavish home also includes a wet-edge infinity pool, a studio, an internal lift and private guest quarters.
Other highlights include a limestone kitchen with premium Miele induction appliances, and flexible spaces for a gym or media room.
The home boasts views of Balmoral Beach, a triple garage and a wine cellar.
The extensive renovation was not without its troubles for Sonia and partner Craig.
In May 2020, Craig told The Daily Telegraph he regretted starting the renovation but it was ‘too late to go back’.
‘Had [coronavirus] happened before we decided to go ahead… there’s no way we would have done it. It’s possibly the worst time to be doing anything like this,’ he said.
‘But we started the process six months ago and it’s too late to go back.’
It was previously estimated the huge renovation cost the couple $1million.
