Danny Cipriani’s heartbroken ex-wife Victoria has claimed he ended their two-year marriage ‘with no explanation’.
In a new interview, Victoria, 43, said she felt blindsided when the rugby player, 38, announced their split on Instagram.
Victoria filed for divorce in August last year, nine months after their split, and later claimed Danny blew £600 a month on drugs.
But the neuroscience practitioner said she is still searching for answers as to why their marriage ended.
‘I do not know to this day why Danny left. There was no row, no red flags. I’ve still got his toothbrush, his clothes, underwear – he only took a few jogging bottoms,’ she told The Sun.
‘We were sat on the sofa watching telly and he stood up and said, “If I go now can I come back?”.

‘Danny took a lot of drugs and had mental health issues, so I tried to just go along with him. I just said “OK” and he left.’
Danny has previously admitted to taking cocaine, a crystallised toad psychedelic and to having so many magic mushrooms he became convinced Victoria was trying to kill him.

It left Victoria shocked as it was the ‘first I’d heard of it’. ‘It was so hurtful,’ she added.

Victoria wrote on Instagram at the time of their split: ‘Danny publicly announced our split without any prior notice or discussion with me. I was made aware of the situation at the same time as the public, and this has caused me a great deal of pain.
‘I apologise if my reactions and responses have seemed reactive or emotionally charged.

‘The truth is, I am still going through a difficult time, and it is challenging for me to see Danny speaking about our separation publicly while I have not yet found the strength to process it, adjust or heal.
Victoria concluded: ‘I really don’t want to be caught up in the fanfare. Sorry for any hurt I have caused.’
Danny met estranged wife Victoria in 2019 and they were engaged by January 2021.
The couple married on April 27, 2022 in a private ceremony, with Danny excitedly telling his Instagram followers: ‘Married my best friend today!’
Danny reflected on their split in an interview last year.
The athlete denied Victoria’s claims he had been unfaithful during their marriage, after she said in an interview that he messaged other women.
Danny said that Victoria manipulated him from their first meeting and told outlandish tales about herself, including claiming she’d been headhunted by MI5 and had a multi-million pound inheritance.
He told The Sun: ‘When I look back now, I realise how much she hoodwinked me. But I really wanted to believe her.
‘I feel like I don’t know who she is. I don’t think I ever did because I have no idea what is the truth.’

Danny has since embarked on a new relationship with American actress AnnaLynne McCord, who referred to herself as his ‘wife’ during a recent appearance at the 33rd annual Broadcasting+Cable Hall Of Fame in New York City
When pressed on her marital status in front of gathered media, a coy AnnaLynne – who was not wearing a wedding ring – told the Daily Mail: ‘I decline to comment.’
Following AnnaLynne’s refusal to discuss her marital status, a spokesperson for her TV show, Days Of Our Lives, told the Daily Mail that ‘Danny and AnnaLynne are not married.’
The actress, who found fame in hit show The O.C, also admitted the former rugby ace can be prone to bouts of jealousy whenever he sees her kissing another man onscreen.
‘I would say he’s territorial and sexy,’ she told the Daily Mail in October. ‘You know, as women, we love that.’
