He famously rapped about ‘trying to keep it down on the low key’ on his number-one club anthem Yeah!

But Usher put on an attention-grabbing display as he arrived in the UK on Wednesday for a string of highly-anticipated concerts, toting around £30,000 worth of Hermes Birkin bags.

Stepping out of a silver Mercedes van flanked by his entourage, the Grammy Award-winning singer, 46, looked in good spirits as he raised a hand to wave to his fans.

He kept warm in a black hooded leather jacket, layered over a turtle-neck sweater, and added a pair of Yves Saint Laurent sweatpants worth £920.

Usher completed his outfit with black trainers and represented Atlanta, where he grew up, with a Braves baseball cap.

However, his biggest statement was a pair of luxury bags from Hermes’s ultra-rare Birkin leather tote range, one in cream with terracotta borders and one in dark grey.

The Burn hitmaker is getting ready to perform to around 200,000 people across 10 nights at the O2 Arena in London starting with a sold-out show Saturday March 29.

Usher’s pop career is heading into its fourth decade with a head of steam, after the star performed at the Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024 and enjoyed a popular Las Vegas residency last year.

He also wowed US fans with a successful tour of the States but was forced to reschedule his Miami concerts after Florida declared a ‘state of emergency’ amid Hurricane Milton in October.

The R&B singer was originally slated to perform on October 11, 12 and 14 but the shows were moved to December 16, 18 and 19.

‘My upcoming shows in Miami at Kaseya Center have been rescheduled for December due to the state of emergency in Florida,’ Usher shared via social media.

‘Everyone’s safety and well-being remain my top priority and I’d rather celebrate with you all at a time when you can get to and from the show safely.

‘Praying for everyone affected by this natural disaster,’ Usher concluded.

He added on Instagram: ‘Florida, stay safe. I will see you soon.’

Though many praised Usher’s commitment to safety for his fans and tour crew, others criticised the decision and voiced frustration over the new dates.

Usher kicked off his Past Present Future tour in August. It marked his sixth headlining concert tour.

The 78-date run has seen him travel across the United States and Europe and will come to a close in May after his final two back-to-back shows at The O2.

The Past Present Future tour has been in support of Usher’s ninth studio album Coming Home. It was released in February 2024 – two days before he headlined the halftime show in Las Vegas.

It features 20 tracks and collaborations with the likes of 21 Savage, Summer Walker and Latto.
