Sydney ‘It Girls’ Tash Oakley and Emma Pillemer end their friendship: ‘It’s clear there’s bad blood’

Sydney ‘It Girls’ Natasha Oakley and Emma Pillemer appear to have ended their friendship after it emerged that they no longer follow each other on social media.

An insider has claimed that there is ‘bad blood’ between model and businesswoman Oakley, 34, and the high-flying 23-year-old founder of the Emma Pills jewellery brand.

The Monday Swimwear founder has also deleted Emma Pills from her Instagram bio after it was reported that Oakley invested as much as $1million in the company in 2023.

‘They are both big personalities and wildly independent,’ a source informed Sydney Confidential on Sunday.

The insider continued: ‘What started off as a really exciting relationship, turned not long after.

‘Tash has removed Emma Pills from her Instagram bio but has kept the other companies she is working with there. It’s clear there’s bad blood.’

Daily Mail Australia has approached Oakley and Pillemer for comment.

Originally from Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Pillemer is one of the Aussie ‘It’ girls living it up in Los Angeles.

Rising to fame on reality TV show Made in Bondi, the vivacious party girl is fast making a name for herself in business and social circles on both sides of the Pacific.

Pillemer launched her own brand just a year after finishing high school and quickly earned her first million, while also making a name for herself as the socialite queen bee of Gen Z.

She keeps her private life mainly under wraps but has provided various glimpses into her Hollywood connections.

Most notably, she was spotted partying with controversial U.S. YouTuber David Dobrik in 2023, wearing a racy stripper costume complete with a temporary ‘daddy’s little monster’ tattoo.

Her father Russel Pillemer co-founded diversified funds management group Pengana in 2003, and with wife Carole raised their four children, including Emma, in New York City before making the move to Australia.

Once in Sydney, Emma was enrolled at the prestigious Moriah College, a $45,000-per-year Jewish primary and secondary school located in ritzy Queens Park, her attendance ensuring impeccable society connections.

But despite Emma’s privileged upbringing, the bold young designer has blazed her own business trail, turning down the corporate lifestyle her father is known for in favour of the glitz and glamour of the world of fashion.

At the same time, Emma has also dipped her toes into the world of showbusiness, appearing on the Bondi spin-off of Made in Chelsea last year.

The Channel Seven series follows the lives and loves of young socialites living near one of the world’s most famous beaches and throughout Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Emma stood out as being the only cast member genuinely raised in Bondi, while other stars grew up in nearby Paddington, the Northern Beaches and even Perth.

It comes after Oakley tied the knot with husband Theo Chambers in Italy in August 2023.

The couple, who began dating four years ago, announced their marriage plans in July 2022.

Model Natasha, whose A Bikini A Day blog morphed into her own swimwear range, debuted on the Financial Review Young Rich List last year at number 71.

She has 3.6million Instagram followers and an estimated net worth of $63million thanks to her Monday Swimwear brand and online fitness program, The Pilates Class.

Her other interests include active wear brand Monday Body and wellness platform The Birthing Class.
