And now it has been revealed the song has helped the US-born pop diva build an estimated fortune of $540 million.
According to The Economist, the catchy tune earns Mariah $3.8 million (US$2.5 million) every year.
Another estimate of the royalties is $4.6million (US$3 million) worth of Christmas cheer to Mariah’s bank account annually.
Meanwhile, the song, which has been streamed 2.24 billion times on Spotify, earned Mariah an eye-watering $92million (US$60 million) in royalties upon its first release, Forbes reported back in 2022.
