Kim Kardashian’s 12-year-old daughter North West doesn’t mince words when it comes to critiquing her mom’s outfits and in this week’s episode of The Kardashians, she outdid herself.
The precocious tween told her mom that ‘people hate’ on her ensembles ‘every year.’
Despite the tough talk coming from her first born, Kardashian, 45, didn’t seem to mind – too much.
The episode took viewers back to the build-up hours before the Met Gala in May 2025 and featured the mother-of-four getting ready for her big entrance.
‘Last night, North came in my room. She gave me the cutest little balloon that says, ‘Good Luck,’ and some flowers,’ Kardashian told an off-camera producer while getting her hair and makeup done.
The scene cut back to the night before when Kardashian was lounging on the bed of her hotel and North walked in with a bouquet of flowers.

‘Oh, my gosh! Where did you get these? You know what? This made my day,’ the reality star told her daughter.
Kardashian confessed she was worried about a snag having to do with her Chrome Hearts black leather dress and the reaction she would get. The issue had her wanting to bail on the bash altogether.
North told her mom like it was, ‘What’s the worst that could happen? People hate on your outfit? They do that every year.
‘You just have to go – that’s it,’ North concluded.
Kardashian appeared to be relieved, saying, ‘You’re my motivating factor.’
The legal eagle’s style team solved the fitting issue by cutting the dress in two.
‘We ended up cutting it up – the dress – in two pieces,’ she said in Thursday’s episode because ‘the proportions weren’t right.’
Once at the event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Kardashian told Vogue that North was ‘a big critiquer’ of what she wears but that her daughter has become ‘pretty good’ with how she delivers her opinions.
Kardashian, who is also mom to Saint, Chicago and Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West, said of North, ‘She’s also in a really positive place right now, where it’s just like, ‘Hey, even if that’s not my style, I’m not going to critique that, just be you and if you like that, then that’s what you should be into.”
