She’s been open about her past addiction battles and her multiple suicide attempts, but the Daily Mail can reveal Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott is now sober and lives a quiet life.
Seen in exclusive Daily Mail photos, the mom-of-four appeared weary as she returned to her Detroit, Michigan, home following a trip to shop for groceries ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Wearing baggy pants, a Y2K-style Von Dutch trucker cap and a hoodie, grim-faced Scott, 50, appeared to be struggling with her heavy load.
Scott lives just six miles from the home of her rapper ex-husband, who she infamously married twice – once in 1999 and again in 2006.
Both marriages proved short-lived, although the former couple did have one child together – Hailee Jade, who gave birth to her own first child, son Elliot Marshall McClintock, earlier this year.
Eminem also adopted Scott’s daughter Stevie, 23, who was born between the two marriages and identifies as non-binary, and her niece Alaina, 32, who was welcomed into the family in the early 2000s due to her mother Dawn’s own addiction problems.

‘I have full custody of my niece,’ the devoted dad told Rolling Stone in 2004. ‘My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born.
‘Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.’
Despite the turbulent marriages, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, and Scott remain close, with both attending Hailie Jade’s wedding in May 2024.
Scott now lives a quiet life in her $400,000 ranch-style home with son Parker, who was born following her second split from Eminem.
Her newly peaceful existence is a far cry from her troubled upbringing and tumultuous time in the spotlight at the height of her rapper ex-husband’s fame.
The 50-year-old inspired several Eminem hits, not all of them positive, among them the violent murder fantasy Kim and Love The Way You Lie.

Both have copped to taking drugs during the two marriages, while Scott’s life has been punctuated by legal troubles – including a 2000 arrest for disorderly conduct following an altercation outside a nightclub with the rapper.
Scott was last collared in 2015 after she crashed her Cadillac Escalade SUV while drunk in what she later said was a suicide attempt.
‘It was intentional,’ Scott admitted on Detroit’s Channel 995 radio show Mojo in the Morning.
‘I never expected to make it out alive.’
She later recalled, ‘I sat at the end of a road where I knew that no one else but myself would get hurt. Yes, I drank, yes, I took pills and I hit the gas and aimed for a pole.’
For that, she received a year’s probation, a fine and was ordered to get therapy for her mental health woes.

The exes faced a heated courtroom clash in 2007, with Eminem seeking to bar her from making negative remarks about him, fearing it might affect their daughterÂ
In 2022, Scott revealed she attempted suicide for a second time following the death of her beloved mom, Kathy Sluck.
Audio from a 911 call in July 2022 revealed one of Scott’s four children found her ‘surrounded by blood and pills on her bathroom floor’.
On arriving at the house, first responders found Scott to be ‘combative and violent’ and also had ‘several small lacerations on the back of her leg’.
According to a police report, Scott was found ‘bleeding excessively’ and was on the bathroom floor holding an ‘unidentified object’ in her hands.
The report claimed that she had ‘attempted to strike the responding officer’ and added she appeared to have ‘difficulty speaking, was slurring her speech and later fluctuated in various levels of consciousness.’
A box was also discovered that contained ‘haphazard messages’ that Kim had penned to family members and a ‘do not resuscitate’ request that she had written.
That episode led to a 45-day stint in rehab, with Scott telling the US Sun in 2023 that she is now ‘doing good’.
She added: ‘It’s been hard, I lost my mom, my dad, and my sister [over the past 10 years]. ‘[But] I’m good. I’ve been clean since about October, I went to Jefferson House [a rehab]…for 45 days.’
