Cher finally turns back time with disastrous results as she pokes fun at her ageless looks and iconic status in hilarious new Uber Eats advert

Cher cemented her legend status as she starred in a hilarious new advertisement for Uber Eats, that premiered in Australia this week.

The commercial for the food delivery platform saw the music legend, 78, being accidentally transported to the 15th century and branded a witch.

But in keeping with her willingness to poke fun at herself, the Believe hitmaker made a slew of hilarious quips and the innovative ad had fans in stitches.

The video begins with Cher in her mansion, humming her hit track If I Could Turn Back Time to herself while looking incredible in a racy leather look.

The singer puts on a leggy display in a black miniskirt with a chain belt and a matching leather jacket covered in silver eyelet detailing.

Inspired by her 1989 hit, she then pulls out her phone and opens the Uber Eats app, to place an order for a Time Machine, while her previous search history hilarious reads: ‘Anti-ageing cream’.

The doorbell immediately arrives with delivery from Uber Eats containing a retro miniature time machine.

Cher picks up the device and fiddles with the dials as she dreamily asks: ‘Take me back to the 80s’ before zooming through and time

However, when she opens her eyes she finds herself straddling a cannon in a dilapidated village in the middle ages.

The villagers react in shock at the sudden appearance of the futuristic superstar and question who she is, as a baffled Cher says: ‘This isn’t the 80s?’

The immediately suspicious settlers inform her rather than transport herself to her heyday of the 1980s, she has mistakenly ended up in the 1680s.

The ad then takes the opportunity to poke fun at Cher’s ageless looks, with one bedraggled woman hilariously commenting: ‘She’s both young and old… at the same time!’

Another beggar woman declares: ‘Witch! She’s a witch!’ causing the other villagers to gasp in shock and take up the chant.

An offended Cher corrects them by declaring: ‘I’m not a witch, I’m an icon!’

However, she is quickly tried and found guilty of being a witch and the ad then cuts to a shot of her tied to a stake and being burned to death.

As the medieval townspeople chant ‘Witch!’ and dance around her, Cher is quick to notice that one old man is sporting some very familiar bedazzled footwear.

She exasperatedly demands: ‘Are those my boots?’ but is ignored by the bloodthirsty crowd and mutters: ‘This is ridiculous’.

The advert ends with Cher back in her kitchen and cooking, beneath the tagline: ‘Time Machine – No. Thyme – Yes. Uber Eats: Get almost almost anything’.

Speaking about her decision to star in the hysterical advertisement, Cher said: ‘I get approached to do commercials all the time – but the creativity and hilarity that Uber Eats presented appealed to me right away. I am really proud of the final product.’

While she then jokily added: ‘I sincerely hope Uber will get me back my boots.’
