Lorraine Kelly pokes fun at herself as she poses next to a rude Scottish place name after it was revealed she missed 40 PER CENT of her shows in 2024

She recently caused a stir among fans of her show after viewers discovered she had missed a whopping 40 per cent of its episodes in 2024.

But Lorraine Kelly has now revealed what she gets up to during her regular absence on her eponymous ITV programme, posting a picture on Monday posing next to an extremely rude place name in her native Scotland.

The presenter, 65, took to Instagram to share a snap of her standing next to a roadsign featuring the town Twatt on the mainland of Orkney in the north of the country.

The arrow is pointing directly at the TV personality, who is wearing a black waterproof over a red jumper and keeping warm with a light blue and white snood. 

Lorraine shouted out another ITV show in a caption which read: ‘Watching the 1% club and someone on from Twatt in Orkney!! When you are lucky enough to visit – then this photo is obviously compulsory.’ 

The amusing update comes after viral X account LorraineKWatch revealed why they have been tracking the host’s attendance record over the past year.

An X account monitored the ITV programme to see just how often Lorraine was absent last year and made some remarkable discoveries

The account, which now boasts 25,000 followers, reached an epic conclusion with a ‘Lorraine Wrapped’ on December 31, and told their loyal followers that Lorraine had hosted just 59.7 per cent of the episodes. 

Last week, the person who dedicated themselves to providing the statistics has revealed why they devoted so much time and effort to doing it in the first place.

The whole saga began after a casual conversation with a pal about how Lorraine is ‘never there’.

The mysterious person then decided to monitor the ITV show to see just how often she was absent and thought that other people might be interested too so they began posting on X.

Their initial posts gained little traction and so they gave up. However, on January 1 2024 they decided to take things more seriously by posting consistently every day and within a few days the account went viral.

They told the Metro: ‘Within a few days, it just went viral. I got hundreds and hundreds of followers, and then it just kept building and building. I’ve managed to keep it up, and now I’m in my second year.’

Lorraine airs on ITV five days per week so the account holder has no choice but to tune in five days per week too.

They revealed that when they work from home it’s pretty easy to tune in. However, during office days they have to be sneaky in order to not be discovered by their co-workers and admitted they turn the brightness right down on their phone.

They hilariously revealed that Lorraine had only fronted 59.7 per cent of the show’s episodes while the remaining 40.3 per cent were hosted by five others

The account has now become so popular that even Lorraine has acknowledged it saying the concept is ‘hilarious’ and ‘quite bizarre’ 

Earlier today the presenter made an appearance on her own show and issued a issued a brutal three-word warning to singer Wynne Evans after he was recorded making a vile remark 

The opera singer, 53, was seen crudely suggesting a three-way sex session with It Takes Two host and professional dancer Janette, using the demeaning term ‘spit roast’ 

Their loved ones have even stood in from time to time when they were on vacation or at medical appointments so they could continuously post for a year. 

They’ve now made checking the ITV show a firm part of their daily routine as they told the publication: ‘I wake up, brush my teeth, make a coffee, check if Lorraine is on TV, get on with my day.’

The account has now become so popular that even Lorraine has acknowledged it saying the concept is ‘hilarious’ and ‘quite bizarre’.

Speaking about the account on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour she said: ‘The amount of space I occupy in people’s heads is quite bizarre. It’s hilarious.’

Earlier today Lorraine made an appearance on her own show and issued a issued a brutal three-word warning to singer Wynne Evans after he was recorded making a vile remark on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.

The opera star, 53, was seen crudely suggesting a three-way sex session with It Takes Two presenter and professional dancer Janette, using the demeaning term ‘spit roast’ during a photocall to launch the tour.

In reference to the vile remark, Lorraine addressed Wynne’s behaviour on her show on Monday as she bluntly said: ‘Do better, mate.’
