Millie Bobby Brown Talks Friendship with David Harbour Amid Bullying Claims

Millie Bobby Brown has revealed her current relationship with Stranger Things co-star David Harbour, after filing a bombshell bullying claim against him.

The actress, 21, and her co-star, 50, were the talk of the town at the LA premiere on November 6, as they put on an ‘OTT comedy double act for the cameras’ just days after it was reported that she had filed a harassment and bullying claim. A week later David was notably absent from the London premiere.

In a new interview Millie insists the co-stars are on good terms, and are prioritising their show, which started streaming its final season this week.

‘We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything,’ Millie told the Hollywood Reporter.

‘We’ve been doing that for the last 10 years,’ the actress added when asked why it was important she make a public show of unity with David after news of the filing emerged. ‘I mean, we have always been united in that.’

The Daily Mail exclusively reported this month that the British actress filed ‘pages and pages of accusations’ against David before filming began on the sci-fi series’ final season.

In the interview with MTV, which was shot prior to her wedding to Bongiovi, Brown seemed uncomfortable as she spoke about Harbour's upcoming role in her wedding as their officiant; still from Stranger Things

Crucially, the complaints did not include any allegations of sexual impropriety and so far, the outcome of the investigation is unknown.

David has been a core member of the Stranger Things cast since it first aired in 2016.

Starring in the role of Jim Hopper, often referred to as Sheriff Hopper, he’s one of the series’ most beloved personalities, loved for his complex character arc.

In the series, Hopper adopts Millie’s supernaturally gifted character Eleven, after she escapes from a secretive government facility that conducted experiments on her as a child.

The fifth and final season sees the two characters reunited after they spent much of the penultimate series apart, and Millie reflected that it was ‘really exciting’ to bring their onscreen personas back together.

‘It was quite nostalgic because it reminded me so much of season two and three, where we’re both kind of butting heads and she’s growing up, she’s trying to find her own voice and he’s trying to parent, and that dynamic definitely comes back into play once again, and I’m really excited for people to see that,’ the actress said.

‘And I think some of people’s favorite scenes of Eleven are Ele and [Hopper], so I’m really excited to have that come to screen once again.’

Netflix declined to comment on Millie’s filing, as did representatives for the actress, while representatives for David and Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers didn’t respond.

Despite the cheating allegations that have swirled around David in recent weeks amid the release of his estranged wife Lily Allen’s new album West End Girl, which was released late last month, a source said she had stood by him in the wake of the bullying claim.

‘Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time,’ a source told the Mail On Sunday.

As a result of Millie’s complaint, she was accompanied by a personal representative on set for the final season.

The first four episodes of Stranger Things season five dropped on Netflix on November 26.

The streamer tends to release show seasons in their entirety in a single drop, unlike several other streaming services that have lately returned to a traditional one-episode-per-week format in order to spread out audience excitement and interest over a longer timeframe.

However, Netflix has changed up its usual approach, as it will release a second batch of three episodes on Christmas day, followed by a final feature-length finale to be released in simultaneously in theaters and on the streaming service.
