Nick Frost puts on an animated display with his leggy co-star Aisling Bea as pair lark about at UK premiere of their new slasher comedy Get Away

Nick Frost and Aisling Bea looked on cloud nine on Tuesday night, as they attended the UK premiere of their new film Get Away in London.

The actor, 52, and the Irish comedian, 40, beamed as they struck a number of playful poses together on the red carpet.

Nick proudly showed off his new look, after debuting it on Instagram the day before, sporting a neat moustache and round pair of tortoiseshell glasses.

He previously shared a selfie modelling the new spectacles on Monday, as he asked his followers for their opinions, writing: ‘Found these in a cupboard. Thoughts?? (I kinda ❤️ them!)’

The Shaun Of The Dead star pulled out all the stops for the premiere, opting for a herringbone blazer over a burgundy turtleneck.

Nick added a pair of smart dark brown trousers, leather dress shoes and a blue dotted pocket square.

While Aisling put on a leggy display in a black velvet blazer-style dress featuring eye-catching silver buttons.

The actress accessorised her stylish look with sheer polka dot tights, a pair of red suede Mary Janes and several gold seashell earrings.

The Living with Yourself star giggled as she and Nick jokingly posed back-to-back, before she wrapped him in a warm hug.

The pair star as married couple Richard and Susan Smith in new film Get Away, with Maisie Ayres and Sebastian Croft playing their son and daughter, Jessie and Sam.

The slasher comedy was written by Nick himself and directed by Steffen Haars and follows the Smith family as they go away on holiday to the small Swedish island of Svälta.

However, the mainlanders warn them to avoid the island at all costs, especially during the Karantan festival — which is precisely when they’re going.

The family opts to take the ferry to the island anyway, but while they are there, the locals are actively hostile and rude, with their extreme behaviour suggesting that something bad is about to happen.

The movie was released in the US and Canada in theatres last month and will become available to UK viewers on Sky Cinema on January 10.

Speaking to the PA news agency at the premiere, Nick said Get Away had been inspired by a 1992 mockumentary about a serial killer called Man Bites Dog, and 1998 dark comedy film The Idiots, by Lars von Trier.

He said: ‘I really like films where [the] get to a point when something is revealed about these characters that you’ve kind of enjoyed along the way, and then you’re given the option as an audience, whether or not do you now hate these people, or do you still kind of like them.’

Famous for his work on films like Shaun of the Dead with Simon Pegg, Nick admitted that he finds something ‘relaxing’ about horror films.

He said: ‘I’ve always loved comedy and I’ve always loved horror – even as a 10-year-old I was watching horror films.

‘I think there’s something about it that my brain works, because I know it so well. Even though it’s horror, it kind of makes me feel relaxed and at ease.’

However, Aisling said she was the complete opposite, admitting to PA: ‘I genuinely get scared all the time from everything.’

She went on: ‘There’s currently a rumour [that] there is a mouse in my house and I don’t really want to go home tonight – so I’m not great with fear as a genre.

‘But this was quite fun to be inside it, because you’re less scared because you actually are sitting around eating sandwiches all day in between the murders and stuff like that. So, that slightly makes it easier to be in it.’

Aisling gushed about how much fun she had working on the film, despite having to ‘run around a forest full of flies with jam all over you all day’.

She said: ‘We would laugh so much all day long and have such a laugh, even among dead body parts and covered in fake blood and stuff like that. Pretty fun job, I have to say.’
