Amy Schumer joked about being frequently ‘misgendered’ as she shared a self-deprecating story with her fans.
Taking to Instagram, Schumer, 44, made the revelation as she described how she had recently been ‘misnumbered.’
Schumer – whose marriage is reportedly navigating a ‘rough time’ – said a pedicab driver mistakenly thought she was with more than one person when they asked if she wanted a ride – despite the fact she was by herself.
‘So I get misgendered a lot, which is fine, it’s not something I’m going to complain about, but I just got misnumbered, like somebody thought I was multiple people. Said, “Hey guys. Do you want a ride on this pedicab?”‘ she told her followers.
‘And I was like,’ she said, looking to her left and right as if to see if there was anyone standing by her. ‘Like there’s only one of me.”
The star was taking a bundled-up walk as she shared the story, her identity concealed beneath a red beanie and brown shades.
