Catherine Zeta-Jones was cheered on by her son Dylan as she waved the starting flag at the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Monday.
The actress, 56, shared a clip of herself waving the famous black and white chequered flag as her son filmed.
The flag marks the end of any practice session, qualifying session or race, and is waved until all competing cars have reached it.
In the clip, Dylan, 25, said: ‘Give me one mum!’ before Catherine turned and smiled at the camera. He then said: ‘Rock and roll!’ as she continued to wave the flag.
In the caption, Catherine wrote: ‘You have no idea how honored I was to be the checkered flag waver at the La Vegas Grand Prix!!!!
‘I was like a kid… So excited!!! Thanks F1 for making this diehard fan so happy!!!!’

Catherine was also joined by her husband Michael Douglas at the Grand Prix which takes place in Vegas the week before Thanksgiving. The couple are also parents to daughter Carys, 22.
The actress shared a series of adorable throwback pictures on Instagram earlier this month in celebration of her 25th wedding anniversary with Michael.
The first photo was a snap of them at their wedding, as they shared a kiss on the grand marble steps at the iconic hotel.
She was wearing her wedding dress, a silky, V-neck gown designed by Christian Lacroix.
Another photo showed the first time that the two had met, which was at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998.
She also included photos of them travelling to India together, as they posed in front of the Taj Mahal, a loving selfie where their heads were pulled closely together, and a photo of Catherine seemingly trying on a gown for her husband in a dressing room.
But even though they may have tied the knot 25 years ago, Catherine’s love for Michael appears to be unchanged, as she wrote in the emotional caption on her anniversary post.
‘Twenty-five years ago today, I walked down the aisle,’ her message began. ‘The intoxicating aroma of flowers, the glow of the candles, the resounding harmonious Welsh choir and you at the end of the long walk waiting for me, looking at me the way only you can.

In the comments section of her post, a slew of stars shared their well-wishes for the couple.
