Hannah Ann Sluss and Jake Funk Welcome First Child

Hannah Ann Sluss and her husband Jake Funk have welcomed their first child together.

The 29-year-old Bachelor Nation star announced on Monday that she and the NFL player, 27, are in ‘newborn heaven.’ 

Sluss shared the happy news on her Instagram story, posting an adorable snap of their dog wearing a ‘Big Brother’ bandana. 

‘We’ve spent the last few days at home soaking in newborn heaven,’ she wrote over the snap, adding, ‘I’ll share more soon.’ 

The two did not say whether they welcomed a boy or a girl, or any other details about the newborn. 

Earlier this week, the reality TV star posted a video from the delivery room, showing her in the hospital bed getting ready to give birth.

‘POV: The night before our whole world changes,’ she wrote over the clip.

Jake was pictured leaning down and giving her a sweet kiss in the video. 

She also shared a snap that showed her solo in the hospital bed with the caption: ‘Peace before the push.’ 

In another post she also showed off the cozy two-piece maternity outfit from Lillusory she was wearing to the hospital.

The couple announced this past June that they were expecting their first child together.

‘We found out we were expecting during a trip to Dubai,’ she told People in June.

‘It was such an unexpected and joyful surprise! A moment we’ll always treasure.’

At the time, Sluss shared her beach maternity photos on Instagram.

‘Each day growing you is a blessing,’ she wrote. ‘God’s plan is more perfect than we ever imagined. We know God is in this story, and we can’t wait to meet you.’

She told People she felt a bit sick at the start of her pregnancy, and has subsequently partnered with the pediatrician-founded health brand Zarbee’s.

‘As first-time parents, we’ve been doing our homework and being super intentional about everything that will go in and on our little one,’ she said, adding, ‘With our baby arriving in November, right when cough, cold and flu season kicks into high gear, it was important for us to be prepared.’

She also talked about her pregnancy with Us Weekly in July, sharing, ‘The pregnancy is going by super fast. First trimester is so slow and then you wake up and you’re, like, over halfway.’ 

‘[Jake] just can’t get over how there actually is a baby in there. So we’re just both so thankful and excited, and I know it will start to seem more real leading up to every doctor’s appointment and being able to see more on the ultrasound screens.’ 

The two were wed at a castle in Italy back in June 2024, after nearly three years of dating.

‘We decided it would just be us and to really focus on the commitment and significance of marriage,’ Hannah said of the ceremony. ‘It’s easy to get caught up in all the glitz and glam.’

She added that ‘having our wedding just for us made the most sense and made it meaningful.’ 

Sluss won Season 24 of The Bachelor after Peter Weber proposed to her in the finale. 

However, their engagement was soon broken off by Weber who revealed he still had lingering feelings for the runner-up, Madison Prewett. 

Meanwhile Funk is currently a free agent.

His last team was the Jacksonville Jaguars, who cut him from their practice squad in 2024.

He previously also played for the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams.
