‘She never loved someone like this before. He was the type of guy who would not take his eyes off her. They were really in love,’ a source told Us Weekly on Saturday.
‘Kelsea hadn’t found someone that was as compatible with her until Chase. He opened up to her, and they had a relationship with more intimacy than she has ever had.
‘She felt he was the most committed to her out of all the guys she has ever been with. That’s why they worked so well, and that’s why she believed they would work long-term.’
The 32-year-old country crooner and the 33-year-old Outer Banks actor were together for nearly three years before things got ‘so rocky and toxic’ between them that she ‘blocked’ him on Instagram.
‘I’m blocked, I did nothing wrong. Sorry. I tried,’ Stokes cryptically announced last Thursday.

The very next day, Us claimed that Ballerini’s First Rodeo video stud was ‘heartbroken’ over their break-up: ‘It’s been nonstop ups and downs.’
When the on/off pair first split in September, the same outlet claimed they ‘had been arguing a lot recently,’ but they were pictured canoodling in Scotland and Croatia just ‘weeks later.’
Ballerini and Stokes originally met virtually on December 1, 2022 – weeks after she finalized her divorce from Australian country crooner Morgan Evans following four years of marriage.

Ballerini will then compete for the best contemporary country album trophy for her fifth studio record Patterns at the Grammy Awards, which air February 1 on CBS/Paramount+.
Last month, Stokes and his ex-girlfriend Madelyn Cline helped intervene when their Outer Banks co-creator Jonas Pate allegedly grabbed a female production assistant and shook her during a tense argument on set in Croatia – according to TMZ.
The amicable exes – who ended their 17-month romance in 2021 – will conclude their roles as John B. Routledge and Sarah Cameron in the fifth (and final) season of their hit Netflix teen drama, which premieres next year.
Stokes – who boasts 13.4M social media followers – is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like Ford, Zenni and Omega.
