Alison Hammond Supports Son Aidan at Camp Bestival debut

Alison Hammond made a surprise appearance at Camp Bestival Dorset to support son Aidan for his debut festival gig on Saturday.

The TV personality, 49, appeared in high spirits as she supported Aiden, 19, while he entertained the crowds in the festival’s Bollywood tent.

Aiden took to the stage with a one hour set of dancing beats, while his proud mother Alison watched on and partied with festival goers.

But it wasn’t long until Alison joined her son, who she shares with her with ex husband Noureddine Boufaied, behind the decks and was spotted with a microphone in hand.

‘He’ll be DJ’ing in the legendary Bollywood tent on Saturday night and is rumoured to have a ‘special surprise guest’ joining him too….’ the festival teased at the time.

Enjoying the sun and vibes, Alison also took to her Instagram to share an array of snaps partying away in some groovy outfits.

Alison was also seen greeting seas of adoring fans as many gather around the star to catch a glimpse of the day-time TV star.

Also seen at the family festival was Paloma Faith.

The popstar, 43, gave an intimate talk and book signing on her new book MILF: Motherhood, Identity, Love and F**kery.

Her book signing came ahead of her headline set on Camp Bestival’s iconic Castle Stage.

The book is a unique take on motherhood and how it correlates to what it means to be a woman in this fierce, funny and passionate volume.

Aiden first announced the news of his debut gig earlier this year as he shared a snap of him behind the decks and wrote: ‘I AM PLAYING AT MY FIRST EVER FESTIVAL @campbestival.

‘I will be playing on Saturday 27th of July in the Bollywood tent from 7-8pm so if you like house music get your tickets and come see me play big thanks to @campbestival.’

Aidan has a keen passion for music, after his mum proudly watched on as her son took to the DJ decks at a gig last November.

She shared a video of Aidan having the time of his life as he danced energetically while playing a remix of That’s the Way (I Like It).

And Alison was every inch the proud mother as she stood beside the DJ decks and filmed as Aidan performed at an event.

Alongside the video, she gushed: ‘Love my Son ! That little smile to the camera gets me every time.’

It seems Aidan is keen to pursue a career in music, not a million miles from his mother’s successful career in television.

Alison’s supportive appearance at the teen’s debut comes just weeks after she shared clips of Aidan struggling to speak shortly after undergoing the surgery.

Sitting in his hospital bed, Aidan spoke to his mother who was filming him, saying: ‘I got my tonsils out, feeling good.

Slurring his words slightly, he added: ‘Don’t know what all the fuss is about really, it’s fine, it’s fine.’

Sitting in his hospital bed, Aidan spoke to his mother who was filming him, saying: ‘I got my tonsils out, feeling good’

Alison could then be heard saying: ‘Have a lick of ice-cream,’ before Aidan replied: ‘I’m not allowed, shh.’

Aidan captioned the video, Aidan wrote: ‘Aidan 1 – tonsils 0 and Me high as a [kite]’.

This Morning star Alison commented on the post with: ‘My poor baby’.

Several of the star’s friends also reacted to the clip including Amy Childs who wrote: So funny. Get well soon Aidan xx’.

Fellow This Morning regular Josie Gibson responded with a series of laughing emojis while Vanessa Feltz added: ‘Oh poor fellow. Wish him better very soon xx’.

Frankie Bridge said the clip was ‘amazing’ while Good Morning Britain’s Alex Beresford wrote: ‘Yup 2 weeks of pain and a show with at least 10 seasons. Not sure Poldark is :aidanhammond555 thing but it got me through’.
