Rita Ora Claims She’s a Witch and Advocates for Astrology as a Religion

Rita Ora has said she thinks she may be a witch in a new interview on Thursday.

The singer, 34, said possessing the mythical power is a ‘gene’ that runs in the family.

She said on the Happy Hour Overheard podcast: ‘My grandma was for sure a witch, my mum, not quite sure if she has that gene, but I think for sure I have the gene.’

Rita even called her wedding ‘spiritual’ and the star has previously shared her love for yoga and astrology readings.

She also has a ritual that helps her feel centered: ‘I do my weekly reads, my tarot cards… Ultimately, as long as something gives you hope it’s all you want.’

The Let You Love Me hitmaker ‘100 per cent’ believes in astrology – a pseudoscience that attempts to predict the future by studying celestial objects.

Rita said: ‘I actually feel like it should be a religion. I love the idea of you feeling like spirts are guiding you in whatever path.’

She keeps her pre stage performance Zen as well, as she admitted: ‘Some people love crazy music, take shots or whatever… I’m very not rock ‘n’ roll before I go on stage.

‘I’m really athletic, I love to stretch, put calming music on, steam my throat. It’s all very chill.’

The singer previously admitted to confiding in a fortune teller who ‘changed my life’ with her advice.

Speaking on the Reign With Josh Smith podcast, Rita explained: ‘She said to me, “Your life is like a pile of sand in your palm and it can go through your fingers at any moment”.

‘It’s about how you protect your one pile of life in the palm of your hand and make sure you move slowly and steadily.

‘That always stuck with me. I used to rush to things and be like, “I want it now”.

‘I’m trying to move a bit more steadily and not react so much because once you react impulsively, it’s usually something you’ll end up regretting, right?

‘I try my best to just take a second before I respond to things. And that’s helped me a lot.’

And Rita no doubt sent fans wild as a blink-and-you-miss-it clip of the wedding picture shows the moment the couple said ‘I do’.

The wedding photo, placed by Rita’s beside table in the video, sees the beauty dressed in a long-sleeved white lace dress by Tom Ford as she wraps her arm around and kisses her new husband.

The snap shows that the pair exchanged their vows outdoors during their idyllic ceremony, with Taika and Rita looking more loved up than ever as they became man and wife.
