Machine Gun Kelly Honors Megan Fox at Concert Amid ‘Closer Than Ever’ Claims After Split

Machine Gun Kelly paid tribute to his babymama Megan Fox during two key moments of his Phoenix concert Tuesday, which was the kick-off of his 67-date Lost Americana World Tour.

The 35-year-old Grammy nominee smoked a cigarette while standing atop the prop Statue of Liberty’s hand as solemnly sang his track Orpheus, which the 39-year-old Overcompensating actress ‘co-wrote’ on his seventh studio album.

The Phoenix New Times reported that MGK (born Colson Baker) belting a track ‘about how hard it can be to hold onto love’ was the closest he ‘came to a tribute without mentioning her by name.’

Fans of Fox’s 2023 book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous might recall her poem ‘Prove It, Orpheus’ in which she wrote: ‘When they ask you who was your greatest love, don’t whisper my name. Scream it. And when they ask you what is your biggest regret, don’t write it in a song, cut yourself open and write it in blood.’

The on/off couple – who were last pictured together at an airport in Liberia waiting at the baggage carousel on July 22 – reportedly suffered the loss of their first daughter at 10 weeks and a day in 2022, which heavily inspired Orpheus.

‘I wrote that by myself, but I took some of the love notes,’ MGK confessed to Apple Music’s Travis Mills on September 10.

‘There was this book that we wrote each other through the years of our relationship. I hadn’t cracked it open in a long time. And I opened it and I was reading all these words. And so, you know, there was a couple of them that I took and I put into the song and I sang. And so that’s why I was like, you know? She technically did, you know, do some writing on this.

‘So, that’s why it says written by both her and I. I mean, her pen game is low-key untouchable. Like, it’s some of the most… Like, I just cried the whole time doing that song, dude. I don’t know what it was about that in part. I mean, I know what it was, but just re-reading such a passionate love story, you know, all the ups and downs.’

The Outlaw Overture rocker revealed the first line of Orpheus ‘We grew a tree back in the garden with the celestial seed that fell down to us from the stars’ was based on the night Fox miscarried their child and they discovered a large mysterious seed in their home.

‘There’s no way the seed could have got there,’ MGK marveled.

‘And it was the most unexplainable miracle because we looked up this seed. I forgot exactly what it is, but the symbolism behind it and the fact that it was from a tree that was not a California tree and to this day we can’t explain it. I saved the seed. There was so much depth in the lines of that song.’

The Houston-born, Cleveland-raised star noted his writing matured a lot more on Lost Americana because it painted an unclouded version of his life now that he’s ‘two or three years sober’ – he can’t remember.

The other big moment onstage the Desert Diamond Arena was when MGK featured audio of his Lonely Road video vixen speaking on Banyan Tree (Interlude), during which he tellingly changed the lyrics from ‘she loves a boy so much’ to ‘she loved a boy so much.’

The self-described ‘Blonde Don’ and Fox – who were previously engaged from January 2022-March 2023 – originally met in 2020 while co-starring on the Puerto Rican set of Midnight in the Switchgrass.

On Thursday, Us Weekly claimed MGK and the Tennessee-born bombshell are gearing up to celebrate the holidays with their seven-month-old daughter Saga Blade Fox-Baker, who’s their ‘top priority and she’s brought them closer than ever.’

‘They’re in a much stronger place than they were even six months ago, and Megan says their baby has given her a sense of peace and healing,’ a sourced alleged.

‘They’ve been staying together again and Megan has let MGK back into her life with no lingering tension between them.’

However, a second source warned that Fox is only willing to give the alleged philanderer ‘another chance as long as he commits to proving himself.’

MGK specifically took off November 26-28 for Thanksgiving break and December 20-February 14 for Christmas and Valentine’s Day during his grueling tour.

The heavily-tattooed millennial was only 19 when he became father to 16-year-old daughter Casie Colson Baker with ex-girlfriend Emma Cannon.
