Oscar winner Mira Sorvino has come to the rescue of Kristin Davis after the Sex and the City star was mercilessly trolled for her looks.
A user on Threads posted side-by-side photos of Davis, 60, on Thursday and commented, ‘I will never understand why women do this to themselves. She was such a gorgeous woman!! She’s had so much Botox, it took away her original and one of a kind traits! Doesn’t even look like her anymore!’
The diatribe forced 58-year-old Sorvino – who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 1995’s Mighty Aphrodite – to stand up for her fellow actress and clap back ‘we are only human.’
‘When people like yourself are publicly commenting on actress’ appearances, you know we are only human and feel a lot of pressure,’ Sorvino wrote.
‘I think she looks beautiful, and I think you wouldn’t like it if people were dissecting images of you online taken decades apart.’
Sorvino added: ‘Let’s support each other not tear each other down.’
Kristin Davis, 60, was the victim of trolling by a Threads user who accused the Sex and the City star of having ‘so much Botox’
While there’s no indication to suggest Davis and Sorvino are friends or even know each other, the heartfelt support from the daughter of the late GoodFellas actor Paul Sorvino will no doubt be appreciated by the Melrose Place alum.
Davis, who played Charlotte York on Sex and the City and the recently canceled spinoff And Just Like That, has been open about her use of Botox and fillers and discussed the ridicule she received because of these cosmetic procedures.
‘I’ve done fillers and it’s been bad. I’ve had to get them dissolved and I’ve been ridiculed relentlessly,’ she told The Telegraph in 2023. ‘And I have shed tears about it. It’s very stressful.’
She talked about the ‘challenge’ of growing older in a culture that obsesses over youthful appearances, saying ‘it’s hard to be confronted with your younger self at all times.’
The brunette beauty continued: ‘It’s a challenge to remember that you don’t have to look like that. The internet wants you to – but they also don’t want you to. They’re very conflicted.’
Meanwhile, Davis apologized to Bridget Moynahan for her behavior on Sex And The City.
Davis has reflected on how she acted towards Bridget, 54, when the ex-girlfriend of Tom Brady played Mr. Big’s wife Natasha on the original show and its recent And Just Like That revival.
Appearing on iHeartRadio’s Are You a Charlotte? podcast, Davis said: ‘Normally, what I would do for guest star people – which were usually men – I would go and try to proactively be friendly, because it is such a scary situation.’
The troller said, ‘I will never understand why women do this to themselves. She was such a gorgeous woman!! She’s had so much Botox, it took away her original and one of a kind traits! Doesn’t even look like her anymore!’
The comment raised the hackles of Mira Sorvino, 58, who clapped back saying, ‘When people like yourself are publicly commenting on actress’ appearances, you know we are only human and feel a lot of pressure’

Kristin is best known for her role as Charlotte York in the iconic series Sex and the City and its recently canceled spinoff And Just Like That
However, Davis realized she had unintentionally ‘internalized Charlotte’s worldview’ and didn’t give Bridget a warm welcome because her character was the ‘nemesis’ to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw.
She added: ‘I don’t think I was that nice to you. I feel really bad about that, Bridget.’
Thankfully, her former co-star hasn’t held any grudges.
Moynahan laughed: ‘It’s OK now. Don’t worry!’
The Coyote Ugly actress did admit she was confused why Kristin was ‘being so nice’ when they later struck up a friendship at the gym.
She recalled: ‘We would run into each other at the gym all the time.’
Davis explained: ‘By then, we weren’t in our characters anymore, and I could just be a normal person.’
In September, Davis expressed her disappointment over the cancelation of And Just Like That after three seasons.
‘I just assumed that we were gonna keep going. That’s how I am, you know what I mean?’ she said on The Drew Barrymore Show.
