Tammy Hembrow’s Paparazzi Photos Explained: Manager Speaks Out + Mansion Feud Update

Welcome to The Group Chat with Lucy Manly, where Australia’s most trusted society insider shares the hottest gossip BEFORE it makes the news.

Tammy tattle

A celebrity super-agent, his star client, and a tenacious young paparazzo armed with photos sure to set the gossip sphere ablaze. It’s the kind of Sydney saga I can’t resist.

On Tuesday, freelance photographer Jayden Seyfarth snapped photos of A-list Instagram model Tammy Hembrow leaving upmarket CBD hotspot The Press with her manager Sean Anderson of 22 Management.

They were celebrating 15 years of online fashion retailer Showpo alongside a Who’s Who of influencers and reality stars, including Indy Clinton and Jules Robinson.

As they left the late-night Merivale music bar together, the camera spied Sean with his arm on Tammy’s shoulder, then touching her hand, before they hopped in a taxi as part of a group.

Now, I make no suggestion of impropriety and note that Tammy and Sean appear to be otherwise unattached.

But eyebrows have nonetheless been raised because of a) their age difference – Tammy is 31 and Sean is 55 – and b) his position as her manager.

In fact, I can confirm there has been chatter because Jayden posted several frames on his TikTok before Daily Mail bought the set exclusively and the images were pulled.

The photos were up long enough for screenshots to find their way onto the influencer gossip grapevine, surfacing on a snark-heavy Instagram account, a Tammy-centric subreddit, and the infamous Tattle Life forums.

I won’t amplify the trolls’ suggestions, except to note that some questioned whether the photos reflected a typical manager–client dynamic.

When I contacted Sean for comment on Thursday, he told me: ‘I’m not sure what you are talking about – I haven’t seen anything, but I’m 55, Lucy! C’mon.’

Tammy hasn’t commented on the photos – but couldn’t resist teasing her followers with a post that same day hinting at unrelated romantic news.

While in Sydney for the Showpo party, the Gold Coast influencer shared a TikTok from bed, miming the iconic Mean Girls line ‘I can’t go out, I’m sick‘ as a muscular man’s arm – not Sean’s – snaked around her head.

As for my verdict on the pap pics? Insiders tell me Sean is just a hardworking agent enjoying a night off with his star client during a busy social season.

Whether Tammy’s gossip-hungry fans see it that way is another matter entirely.

Charged doctor the talk of Double Bay

Double Bay has endured many dramas over the years: the rogue florist, the inheritance-swindling wedding planner, that guy charged with impersonating an AFP officer.

Now the well-heeled suburb is abuzz with another compelling saga: the Lotus-driving chiropractor facing serious domestic violence charges involving an ex-girlfriend.

Daily Mail broke the story on Monday – and since then I understand Dr Walid Kesserwani (yes, chiros can call themselves ‘Dr’) is now the talk of the town.

As he prepares for his day in court, one eastern suburbs spy noted that some are casting a keen eye on his credentials.

You see, a video has surfaced of him casually listing an entire degustation menu of degrees: Bachelor of Medical Sciences, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Chiropractic Services, a Master’s and even a Doctorate of Chiropractics.

Dr Kesserwani is certainly well-educated, but we did some digging and that doctorate doesn’t appear in his AHPRA file or his LinkedIn résumé.

To be clear: we don’t suggest he’s not qualified to practise as a chiropractor. He is.

But it’s curious where this doctorate comes from when his highest formal qualification is listed online as a master’s.

Perhaps he misspoke. Perhaps he has an additional overseas qualification that we don’t know about – entirely possible given the American twang to his accent.

As of last week, his official AHPRA file lists a short and sweet academic summary: Master of Chiropractic – Macquarie University.

Until recently, it also used to note that he spoke Arabic and French – though oddly those language skills were scrubbed from the listing just this week.

Bigwigs see red over pink house

A blue-blood property spat has made it all the way to the NSW Supreme Court – and it centres around one of Australia’s most photographed mansions.

Villa Biscaya, the blush-pink Spanish-style showpiece on Tivoli Avenue in Rose Bay – famous for featuring in Vogue, The Bachelor, The Voice and Married At First Sight – is now the battleground for Waterhouse family scion David Waterhouse and AsheMorgan private-equity boss Michael Rothner.

Waterhouse offloaded the old-Hollywood stunner for a breezy $26million – a huge leap from the $10.25million price tag in 2021. The sale was due to settle this December after a mid-2023 exchange, but things turned ugly.

The fireworks began during Rothner’s rent-free tenancy, when four soaring palm trees on a neighbouring block were mysteriously chainsawed down. The ‘palmgate’ saga had the neighbourhood buzzing – and allegedly sent Waterhouse ballistic.

Rothner, who flatly denies any involvement or knowledge of the covert lumberjackery, soon found himself facing eviction. He fired back with a countersuit, claiming Waterhouse stalled his plans by dragging out sign-off on key development tweaks, blocking construction of his planned ‘wellness pavilion’.

Things escalated further when Rothner, who moonlights as Central Synagogue’s vice-president, arrived in court on Monday following testimony from star experts Gavin Rubinstein and Jerome Srot of luxury real estate agency The Rubinstein Group – and coincidentally members of the same synagogue.

In a curious twist, I can reveal Waterhouse and Rothner aren’t the only colourful Sydney characters to hold the keys to Villa Biscaya.

Its previous owner was Mondeal Aesthetics founder Rob Gregg – the same Rob Gregg whose Gen-Z businesswoman daughter Kaitlynn featured in this column after her bust-up with Fayshell clinic co-founder Ella James.

Almost a century old, Villa Biscaya was designed by renowned architect Alan Edgecliff Stafford in 1929. It boasts four bedrooms, harbour views, a swimming pool, and a 1,000-bottle wine cellar.

And finally… guess who, don’t sue

Which socialite has dramatically fallen out with her well-connected sister-in-law?

The two women – linked by a labyrinthine family tree – were once inseparable players in Sydney’s elite social circuit. Not so anymore.

Insiders whisper the pair now can’t stand to be in the same postcode, let alone the same room – so much so that at a recent birthday party for their shared nephew, the two reportedly attended in shifts.

No word yet on what sparked the froideur — rumblings range from a snubbed invitation to a disagreement over family loyalties — but the eastern suburbs are buzzing.
