Uma Thurman was reunited with director Quentin Tarantino as they attended the premiere of their new project on Wednesday.
Taking inspiration from her iconic alter-ego The Bride, the actress, 55, opted for a Kill Bill T-shirt as she attended the premiere of the The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge at the Vista Theater.
Since collaborating on Pulp Fiction and the original Kill Bill films, Quentin and his ‘muse’ Uma have had a rocky professional relationship, with things increasingly strained after a car stunt on set left her injured.
But the pair have still remained friends, with the actress joining forces with the filmmaker for The Lost Chapter, which is set to be the prime storyline on the upcoming season of the game Fortnite, titled Chapter 7.
Yuki’s revenge was a chapter of the Kill Bill films that featured in the script but was never filmed, and now die-hard fans of the story will get to glimpse the tale as part of the game’s upcoming release.
Uma teamed her Kill Bill T-shirt with a black leather jacket and matching trousers as she spoke about her role in the Fortnite chapter.

Meanwhile Quentin was supported by his wife Danielle Pick, who opted for an elegant black gown with daring cut-outs for the event.
Uma and Quentin first worked together on his 1994 cult classic Pulp Fiction, which turned out to be Thurman’s breakout role, and later reunited for the Kill Bill films, which were released in 2003 and 2004.
However, in a profile by The New York Times in 2018, Uma revealed that their relationship was strained by a car accident on the set of the movies, which caused injuries to her neck and knee.
She said: ‘Quentin came in my trailer and didn’t like to hear no, like any director. He was furious because I’d cost them a lot of time. But I was scared. He said: “I promise you the car is fine. It’s a straight piece of road.”‘
Although their relationship was damaged by the accident, Tarantino helped her obtain footage of the accident in an attempt to hold Harvey Weinstein accountable for an alleged cover-up.
In response, Tarantino told Deadline: ‘It was heartbreaking. Beyond one of the biggest regrets of my career, it is one of the biggest regrets of my life. For a myriad of reasons.’
He added: ‘She blamed me for the crash and she had a right to blame me for the crash. I didn’t mean to do it. I talked her into getting in the car, I assured her the road was safe. And it wasn’t.’
Thurman’s daughter Maya Hawke recently made her Tarantino debut in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood as Manson family member Linda Kasabian.

Kill Bill stars Uma Thurman as The Bride, who is left for dead after her former boss and lover Bill (David Carradine) ambushes her wedding rehearsal, shooting her in the head and stealing her unborn child.
To exact her vengeance, she must first hunt down the four remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before confronting Bill himself.
Over the years, Quentin said he’s toyed with the idea of making Kill Bill: Volume Three, detailing that it would focus on The Bride and her daughter, B.B. Kiddo, with hopes he could cast Uma’s real-life daughter Maya Hawke as her child.
Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2021, he said: ‘I think it’s just revisiting the characters 20 years later,”
‘Just imagining the Bride and her daughter B.B. having 20 years of peace, and then that peace is shattered and then the Bride and B.B. are on the run. The idea of casting Uma [Thurman] and casting her daughter, Maya, and the thing would be f*****g exciting.
‘I mean, Elle Driver [Daryl Hannah] is still out there, Sophie Fatale [Julie Dreyfus] got her arms cut off, she’s still out there. They all got Bill’s money. Gogo [Chiaki Kuriyama] had a twin sister, her twin sister could show up.’
