Mady Gosselin, 25, Makes Rare Social Media Appearance with Sister After TikTok Hiatus

Kate and Jon Gosselin’s daughter Mady made a rare social media appearance as she joined her younger sister Hannah for a lighthearted TikTok video shared on Tuesday. 

The 25-year-old – who is currently based in NYC – was seen spending time with with Hannah, 21, who uploaded the short reel to her own account. 

The pair posed for the camera while also grooving to the track A World Alone by Lorde as they explored the Big Apple together. 

It comes two years after Mady opted to wipe her TikTok page clean and has yet to post new videos. Her Instagram account also remains blank with zero posts – despite boasting nearly 150,000 followers on the social media site. 

In the caption of the post, Hannah penned to her followers: @madelyn we love lorde… #sister #nyc.’

Their mother Kate also jumped to the comment section to share her positive thoughts on the reunion and wrote, ‘I love coming across my girls dancing in the streets on tik tok.’ 

Mady later reflected on how both she and Hannah are big fans of the singer Lorde and typed out in the comments, ‘we love lorde nothing further ur honor.’ 

She showed off her fall style as they strolled around the bustling city in a navy sweater as well as denim miniskirt. 

Her younger sister sported a long-sleeved patterned sweater and comfy denim jeans. 

In a separate TikTok post, Hannah gave a glimpse at other special moments from her trip to the bustling city – such as taking the subway and indulging in treats at PopUp Bagels. 

Kate further showed her daughter support and commented, ‘Aww Hanni this makes me so happy! I’m so glad you got to spend time with Mady and cuz. What great memories!’

While Mady herself is not active on social media, she seemingly resides in NYC with her TikTok bio reading: ’25 year old libra in nyc.’ 

Kate and Jon gained recognition for their TLC series Jon & Kate: Plus 8 which aired from 2007 through 2009. It was later renamed to Kate Plus 8 after the former couple’s split and continued to air until 2017. 

They share twins Mady and Cara, 25, as well as sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, 21. 

After the divorce, Collin and Hannah chose to go live with their father while the other siblings resided with Kate. 

Hannah recently got candid about growing up in front of the camera during an interview with Teen Vogue back in May. 

‘You’re always surrounded. The film crew was there 24/7,’ she reflected before adding the the film crew moved into an apartment above the family’s garage at one point. 

Hannah also told the outlet, ‘[Filming] made my siblings and I closer to each other, even though it made my parents further from each other. It’s hard to go back and watch my parents argue.’ 

Mady has also spoken up about her family – and back in 2013, she accused her estranged brother Collin of ‘physical violence and hate speech.’ 

It came after he alleged that their mother Kate had ‘abused’ him on VICE TV’s docuseries Dark Side of the 2000s. 

Mady had written on her Instagram stories: ‘I never wanted to have to speak up about this in order to allow my brother the ability to live privately after the conclusion of our family’s TV show, but I’ve been overwhelmed by hate messages in the last few days and I feel I must set the record straight.’

She added, ‘I do not owe my allegiance to any person(s) who has physically threatened me and every member of my immediate family (some incidents as recent as last year).

‘Further, I will never allow someone who has exhibited hateful and even violent behavior towards others based in their racial identity, gender identity, or religious beliefs to be in my life.’ 

Mady continued, ‘Kindness, tolerance, love, and acceptance are core values in my life and I refuse to compromise them for ANYONE, even my brother Collin, who has unfortunately made his opinions very clear in private.

‘For me there is no further conversation to be had about rebuilding relationships with anyone in my life after reaching the point of physical violence and hate speech.

‘I cannot speak any further on why Collin has done these things, just that I have witnessed them,’ she also claimed.

‘I’ve had hundreds of people messaging my private accounts with the most hurtful words you can imagine in the last few days, all without knowing the full truth of what we’ve been through. I’m asking for peace and privacy (and no more hate mail) going forward.’

Collin has publicly opened up about his estrangement from his other siblings in the past. 

Back in August, he made a heartbreaking claim as he reached out to his estranged siblings through an emotional message on TikTok. 

He alleged in the post that he and his siblings were ‘forced apart’ and ‘pitted against each other.’

Collin included a throwback photo of himself with his brothers and sisters while adding the text, ‘Born to be a team, us against the world…’ 

A second slide showed the Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum in the driver’s seat of a car and he wrote, ‘Forced to do it alone, and wonder everyday what our lives could’ve looked like.’ 

In the caption of the post, Collin also claimed, ‘Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?

‘I will always love them more than anything. The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could’ve shared. I love you guys…’ 

Collin has notably been estranged from his mother Kate as well as most of his siblings for many years. 

However, he is close to his father Jon – who got sole custody of Collin and his sister Hannah back in 2018. 

Last year in September, Collin claimed that his mother Kate ‘zip-tied his arms and legs and locked him in basement as a child’ during an interview with The U.S. Sun. 

And back in 2023 on Vice TV’s Dark Side of the 2000s, he talked about being sent away at the age of 12 to an institution, and alleged that his mother, Kate, did so to prevent him from discussing how he was being treated at home. 

He also claimed last year that he was ‘discharged’ from the Marines due to Kate sending him to the behavioral institution in 2016. 

Kate officially joined TikTok earlier this year in July – and will often post content about her life.
