It’s been a tough year for Christian Horner, but the former team prinicipal of Red Bull in Formula One, who was sacked in July, still had reason to smile.
The former racer, 52, looked in good spirits as he celebrated his birthday alongside his wife Geri Halliwell on Sunday.
The Spice Girls singer presented her husband with a white cake adorned with multi-coloured candles.
Christian shared the photo online and wrote: ‘Thanks for all the birthday wishes’.
Christian was released from his operational duties as the boss of Red Bull in July, ending the longest reign of Formula One team principals in the sport.
It came a year after the scandal that engulfed him over texts he apparently sent to a female employee.

Red Bull issued a statement confirming the news, reading: ‘Red Bull has released Christian Horner from his operational duties with effect from today, Wednesday 9 July 2025, and has appointed Laurent Mekies as CEO of Red Bull Racing.’
His departure marks the end of a career at the Milton Keynes-based team that yielded eight drivers’ and six constructors’ world titles in two verses of success, first with Sebastian Vettel and then Max Verstappen.
He served as team principal from Red Bull’s inception on the Formula One grid in 2005 and was consistently flanked at tracks around the world by Geri.
He was summarily relieved of the role following the British Grand Prix.
Christian was given no explanation for his firing – but it is understood that he fell victim to a power struggle.
Geri stood by her husband after the explosive accusations rocked the Formula One paddock last year. Christian has vehemently denied the claims.
Screenshots of alleged WhatsApp messages between Horner and a Red Bull employee were leaked anonymously the day after a three-week investigation, carried out externally, cleared the him of all allegations.
He survived accusations of coercive behaviour towards his colleague – and was twice cleared in internal investigations of wrongdoing.

Christian, who shares son Monty, seven, with his wife and both also parents to children from previous relationships, captioned the post: ‘Happy birthday to my amazing wife’ before tagging her in the post.
