Renee Zellweger’s boyfriend Ant Anstead offered a rare comment about the actress after sparking up a romance four years earlier.
The 46-year-old TV personality jumped to his Instagram stories to cheer on the Oscar winner, 56, after a statue of her character Bridget Jones was unveiled in London this week on Monday.
He reposted a clip to his Instagram stories of Zellweger posing next to the statue and simply added text at the bottom which read, ‘Iconic.’
She put on a stylish display at the event in a long black coat that was buttoned at the front and slipped into a pair of white heels.
Her blonde locks were parted in the middle and pulled back into a low ponytail, allowing loose strands to border the sides of her face.
Zellweger was joined by Leo Woodall and Chiwetel Ejiofor who co-starred with her in the 2025 movie Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.

Sally Phillips – who portrays the best friend of Bridget in the beloved franchise – hosted the special event.
Zellweger has played the character of Bridget Jones over the span of four movies including Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason (2004) and Bridget Jones’s Baby (2016).
‘I think she’s much cuter than me,’ the actress said of the sculpture to BBC News and also shared her thoughts on why fans connect with the character.
‘[It’s her] vulnerability, her humanness. We recognize ourselves in her, we recognize ourselves in her struggles. It makes it OK for the rest of us to be authentically who we are. Imperfect.’
While the actress was accompanied by some of her castmates during the festivities, the award-winning star was seemingly not joined by Anstead.
The couple first crossed paths on set of Celebrity IOU: Joyride in 2021 and began dating that same year.
Anstead later opened up about why the two stars choose to keep their relationship mainly out of the spotlight.
‘Renee and my relationship is something that’s really private,’ he explained to People.

Zellweger and Anstead went Instagram official soon after as he uploaded a black and white snap as the cozied up together.
Last year, the British-born TV presenter revealed that he sometimes forgets that his girlfriend is famous.
‘I mean, ultimately, it is microscopically examined, I’m sure, but I don’t really think about that,’ he explained on the Jeremy Vine On 5 show, per People.
Anstead further explained, ‘She’s so incredibly normal and I often forget that she’s famous.’
Earlier this year in January, the actress offered rare insight into her romance with Anstead in a joint interview with Hugh Grant for British Vogue.
‘I live in Southern California, near San Diego. Because that’s where my fellow lives, and his little boy,’ she expressed.
Anstead shares a son named Hudson, six, with ex-wife Christina Haack. He is also father to two older children Amelia, 21, and Archie, 18, from a previous marriage to ex Louise.

The second season of his series Born Mechanic recently premiered in September where he restores and sells classic cars in order to renovate a 500 year-old farmhouse he purchased for his parents.
The TV personality then shared that the actress has also offered a hand.
‘She’s been a big influence on that; she’s very, very good at designing. So, I’m obviously going to take advice from the person who’s way better at houses than I am.’
Anstead sweetly added, ‘I am constantly being advised, because she’s the greatest human I’ve ever met.’
