Kristin Cavallari Dated Surprising Sports Star Three Years Post-Divorce from Jay Cutler

Kristin Cavallari had a date with a sports figure after previously being married to former NFL star Jay Cutler.

The 38-year-old reality television star — who recently got candid about body image — went out with Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy earlier this year in Nashville, where she lives.

According to Us Weekly, 37-year-old Hardy visited her in the city ‘many months ago.’

Despite their outing, the duo did not turn out to be a match and ‘she never saw him again,’ said a source.

‘It was one date and that was it,’ the insider told the outlet.

Cavallari was married to Cutler, 42, – who recently had bodycam footage of his DUI arrest recently released – from 2013-2022 and they share sons Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and daughter Saylor, who will 10 on November 23.

It comes after in October, the former Laguna Beach star discussed getting back into the dating scene and revealed she was set up with a mystery man in the sports arena.

She told Let’s Be Honest podcast listeners, ‘I literally said to the universe: “I’m ready to go on a date.”

‘The next day, I got a phone call from my agent who set me up with a coach, which is also funny because Patti Stanger came on my podcast and said, “You should go out with coaches.”‘

Cavallari did not name her date, but hinted about the guy, ‘He’s a big deal.’

The podcast host shared, ‘He is represented by CAA. So am I. Our two agents made it happen. He flew to Nashville, took me to dinner, such a great guy.’

She explained that she enjoyed herself, but knew that they weren’t a good match.

The mother-of-three stated, ‘I know after the first date if I’m going to like someone or not. I was trying to make it work, and I kept talking to him, and I was going to see him again and everything in me was telling me not to.

‘When I’m out of alignment for what is meant for me, everything in my body screams at me. He is such a good guy. I enjoyed talking to him. It just wasn’t right.’

In a July episode of her show, Cavallari described the type of man she’d ideally like to date while chatting all things dating with aforementioned high-profile matchmaker Stanger.

The women were discussing NFL players when the blonde bombshell suddenly had the idea: ‘You know what would be great is like, a coach.’

The star then said she’s ‘too old for athletes now’ before she asked rhetorically: ‘Where are the hot coaches?’

‘Some of them are hot,’ she gushed. ‘You’ll see a photo and you’re like, excuse me, who is that man?’

Stanger agreed, ‘They’re always in their 40s and really sexy, and they have scruff and nice hair.’

Weighing the downside, Cavallari added, ‘The problem is they work a lot.’

Meanwhile, Cavallari’s ex  Cutler recently had bodycam footage from his DUI arrest released days after he had been released from a short stint in jail.

The arrest, which happened October 2024, led to a four-day prison sentence as part of a plea deal the former Chicago Bears quarterback made with prosecutors in Tennessee.

Cutler was arrested in Franklin, a suburb of Nashville – the city where he went to college and where he got married to his now-ex-wife and reality television star Kristin Cavallari.

In the bodycam footage released last month, the 42-year-old Cutler was asked how much alcohol he had consumed after rear-ending a different vehicle.

After Cutler replied ‘none’, an officer advised him not to lie. When asked again, Cutler replied, ‘a little bit’.

The Pro Bowler refused a field sobriety test, leading to him getting handcuffed and put into the back of a squad car with no resistance.

Cutler was booked for DUI and for a gun possession charge. After cutting a deal with prosecutors, the weapons charge was dropped and he was sentenced to four days in jail for the misdemeanor DUI.

The former 11th overall pick out of Vanderbilt only ended up serving two-and-a-half days of that brief sentence.

He was also sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation, was ordered to attend a DUI safety class and will pay a fine of $350.

While he has served his criminal sentence, Cutler is still being sued by the driver of the vehicle he hit. The plaintiff has claimed he has ‘endured physical and mental suffering and the loss of enjoyment of life’ after the incident.
