A TikTok star named Maurice Harrison died on Friday at age 21.
The internet sensation, who used the social media handle @Girlalala was discovered in the front passenger seat of a vehicle after suffering gunshot wounds.
Lauderdale Lakes, Florida authorities found the victim after responding to a medical call, Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a statement, per People.
Harrison was taken to a local medical center, and later pronounced dead.
The hairstylist, whose TikTok profile described her as a ‘wig influencer,’ was from Pompano Beach, Florida.
Shanoyd Whyte Jr. was arrested on Friday for first-degree murder with a firearm and is being held without bond, People reported on Monday.

Harrison’s TikTok account currently has over 284,000 followers, and her Instagram, @_girlalalala’s has nearly 42,000 followers.
Sheriff’s office detectives believe Whyte Jr. and Harrison were in a verbal altercation that turned physical while inside of Whyte Jr.’s vehicle.
The suspect told detectives he and Harrison were in a relationship for ‘several years.’
‘At some point, the victim was shot while sitting in the car,’ the police statement noted.
A GoFundMe has been set up to raise money for the victim’s funeral and has surpassed its $25,000 goal, raising over $28,000.
Among the donations was a $5,000 contribution from City Girls rapper JT, 32.
JT also paid tribute to Harrison on Instagram, sharing an old video of them on stage together at a night club.
She captioned the post, ‘Rest beautiful girlala! We love you & Heaven will never be boring now that you are there, your boldness, energy, humor & beauty will be missed!
‘You never missed a chance to show me love & for that I’m forever grateful. I’m sorry this happened to you!’
JT added the hashtags ‘#protecttranswomen’ and ‘#proteckblackwomen,’ and urged her fans to ‘protect feminism as a whole!’

One fan of the slain hairstylist wrote along with a donation, ‘I didn’t personally know her but i did just recently follow her & have been watching her content & i’m send my condolences to her family & peers who lost somebody genuine & kind.
