Kim Kardashian Features Tattoo-Free North, 12, in SKIMS Ad

Kim Kardashian has put one of her four children to work for her $5B company SKIMS.

The 45-year-old diva from Calabasas cast her mini-me daughter North West, 12, in her new holiday SKIMS ads; the collection will be released on November 20.

The child of rapper Kanye West wore long blue-tinted braids and a North nameplate necklace as she was photographed in a pajama set for the holiday season. The shot took place in a Christmas-decorated dining room.

The budding star had none of the fake tattoos or piercings she donned last month for fun with her friends. But she did appear to have a little bit of makeup on for her modeling job.

SKIMS model pay varies significantly depending on the type of work, with recent casting calls for national commercial work offering around $6,500 for the project. 

By law, minors who work as models generally must be paid, and a portion of their earnings must be placed in a trust account in some states, such as New York and California. These laws are in place to protect child performers.

In the past, Kardashian has used stars for her campaigns such as Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel and Heidi Klum.

West made her runway debut at age five and also shot a music video with her musician father. She was in Vogue magazine as a baby.

The last time West modeled for SKIMS was in 2020 with mom Kim and sister Chicago. 

West’s campaign is the new SKIMS collaboration with fashion label Cactus Plant Flea Market.

‘Our collaboration with CPFM brings a fresh, unexpected twist to holiday loungewear, with pieces that are iconic, playful, and expressive.’

Kardashian also shared a video of North twirling her hair and saying, ‘Everybody is wearing SKIMS,’ to her Instagram.

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian hit the like button as did pal Lauren Sanchez. 

Other stars featured in the ad are rapper Ken Carson, singers Mariah the Scientist and Beabadoobee, influencer Madeline Argy, and stylist-designer Veneda Carter with her daughter Bobbi.

The All’s Fair actress said her eldest child wore the tats and piercings for fun with her friends and they could not understand the controversy.

‘I mean, this whole thing about how horrible it is and it’s disturbing,’ the reality TV star told Complex. 

‘And she was like, “I don’t get it. It’s like a Halloween costume. It’s all fake.” So she takes my phone and she writes back to a comment and she goes, “This is such a non-issue.”‘
