Big Brother Australia’s Michael Downs has weighed in on the show’s romance between Colin and Holly after being booted from the reality series in Sunday’s elimination episode.
Appearing on Star 104.3 FM’s Matty and Gina show on Monday, the single dad took aim at several of his old housemates as well, calling them annoying, immature, and whingers.
But the first BB evictee for 2025 saved his most scathing comments for Holly Young, who is supposed to be having a steamy romance with her much younger housemate, Colin Ridley.Â
During the interview, Michael, 47, called Holly a ‘fake’ before giving his verdict on the couple’s relationship.
‘So if you think Holly’s fake, does that mean that Holly and Colin’s romance is fake as well? host Matt Basely asked.
Michael didn’t mince words, replying: ‘Mate 100 per cent, everybody knows that.

‘I said that ain’t lasting until halfway down the eviction runway… that’s not a thing!’
Elsewhere in the chat, Michael played an ‘association game’ with his hosts, where he was asked to describe different Big Brother cast members using a single word.
Michael called Connor ‘annoying’, Colin ‘immature’, and Jane a ‘whinger’.
He also described Big Brother host Mel Tracina as ‘cute’.Â
Meanwhile, Holly has already drawn fire from online critics who say the model is ‘playing for the cameras’.
Fans accused the 31-year-old of using her much-younger love interest, 21, as a way of staying in the house, after a telltale video went viral.
In the clip, Holly and Colin were sitting separately from each other as one of their housemates spoke about not being ‘in it for the money’ when it came to the show.
However, as soon as Holly made eye contact with the camera, her demeanour changed.
He also described Big Brother host Mel Tracina as ‘cute’Â
The reality star then quickly became touchy with her on-screen beau, pulling him in for a cuddle.
It comes after Michael was evicted on Sunday in a public vote alongside Holly and Trump-loving grandma Jane.
Michael, who has angered viewers with his ‘sexist’ views, blamed young women for voting him out.
‘I’m an older guy, and it’s younger girls voting. They’re not voting for me,’ he said when he got the bad news.
Fans were celebrating on X, with many glad to see the publisher go home.
‘I’m happy Michael got evicted. Australia made the right call this week,’ one person wrote.
Another slammed him as a ‘loser’ while one more said sarcastically, ‘See ya Michael!’
‘MICHAEL OMG I HATE YOU!’ declared one fan of the show, with someone else posting, ‘Michael has provided nothing but a few dodgy views.’
