The Golden Bachelor winner Sunny Long has broken her silence about which of her former co-stars would be a good frontrunner for a female led spin-off.
The South Korean-born entrepreneur, 58, revealed she would love to see either Bianca Dye, 52, or Lauren, 60, lead the proposed spin-off The Golden Bachelorette.
‘I was going through all the comments with my daughters and judging by the feedback from the public – a lot of people were talking about Bianca,’ Sunny told Woman’s Day.
‘Or even Lauren? I don’t know, it’s up to them. Each and every one of them are very capable of being a Bachelorette.’Â
Sunny added she had been so impressed by her female co-stars that she couldn’t single one out as a frontrunner.
‘They definitely have the courage to be in public, I’m sure they’re all eligible. I can’t really pick one,’ she said.Â

‘I’m thinking that maybe some guy whose been right under these ladies’ noses will see the show and realise they’re looking for love and how amazing and beautiful they are,’ Sunny’s partner Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden added.Â
‘And that will spur them to come forward and ask them.’
Earlier this month, viewers were calling for a spin-off starring Jan Herdman, a 66-year-old transformation coach.Â
Jan quickly won the hearts of audiences through her upbeat attitude, charismatic personality and incredible dedication to fitness.
After Bear failed to form a romantic connection with her, viewers called for Jan to appear in her own show, in which a group of refined bachelors would vie for her heart.
Nine’s The Golden Bachelor is itself a spin-off from its American counterpart, and the US ABC commissioned its own The Golden Bachelorette in 2024, starring former contestant Joan Vassos.
Series host Samantha Armytage has said she would love to expand the franchise.
‘As we say with this show, you don’t know what the future holds. So I think let’s just get the inaugural Australian season to air and see how that goes… I think there is a bright future ahead for this show,’ she told Yahoo Lifestyle.
