Fans Roast Paris Hilton’s ‘Self-Made’ Claim

Paris Hilton is being roasted online after insisting she’s a ‘self-made’ business mogul.

The 44-year-old heiress — whose family owns the Hilton hotel company — made the bold claim in a Sunday Times interview published on Saturday.

Paris declared, ‘I’m self-made. Like, I’ve done this all on my own,’ when referring to her $1B 11:11 Media company.

‘No one’s ever given me anything in my entire life,’ she doubled down during the conversation.

Fans quickly took to Reddit to push back against her statements, with one person writing, ‘You had a perfume called ‘Heiress.’ [Girl], be fr.’

Another person noted, ‘If you weren’t a Hilton then you wouldn’t be as big as you are. Yes you made a name for yourself but its because you came from wealth and a household name.’

Someone else pointed out, ‘Even if you didn’t take seed money, handouts, or other direct support, there’s a huge difference between the kinds of risks someone coming from a background of wealth and security can take and someone just trying to keep food on the table can take.’

There was also a Redditor who added, ‘She’s also delusional so that’s my hot take ;-).’

‘That’s epic narcissism,’ one unimpressed social media user wrote.

And another added that the blonde media personality is ‘disillusioned as every other nepo baby.’

Referring to her family’s multi-generational hospitality empire, one critic said, ‘Yeah in pretty much every city in the country there’s a building with her name on it. She came from money of that legacy.’

Others simply agreed that Paris is ‘delusional’ for taking credit for her success as an entrepreneur.

The mother-of-two’s grandfather was billionaire Barron Hilton, who inherited the family business.

When he died in 2019 he reportedly left 97% of his wealth to the family foundation, but Paris’ parents Kathy and Rick Hilton have a net worth in the hundreds of millions.

Paris recalled her relationship with her late grandfather in the Sunday Times profile.

She shared, ‘We were extremely close and we would always have lunches and dinners, and he would always say to me, ‘Paris, you work harder than any CEO I know.”

The billionaire added, ‘And he’s, like, ‘I used to be known as Barron Hilton but now I’m known as Paris Hilton’s grandpa.’ We would always laugh about it.’

Paris became a household name in the early 2000s when she starred on the reality television show The Simple Life with BFF and fellow nepo baby Nicole Richie.

She built her business portfolio by cashing in on her fame with clothing, fragrances, and other merchandise.

Since then she has gained social media followers in the millions, become a DJ and singer, and the CEO and chairwoman of 11:11 Media.
