Teens with Celeb Parents: Dad Worked with Jennifer Aniston, Mom is Paul Anka’s Daughter

Their father is a respected Hollywood actor who started as a child with TV commercials then got a role on the popular series Little House On The Prairie.

The dark-haired thespian then landed a role on Silver Spoons and popped up on shows such as Knight Rider.

He was also in movies like Teen Wolf Too with Kim Darby. 

This versatile actor has worked with Jennifer Aniston on five movies and calls her a good friend; they are often seen vacationing together with other pals in Mexico.

He is also wed to Paul Anka’s daughter; Anka is the 1950s crooner behind the hit songs Put Your Head On My Shoulder and I Love You, Baby.

The actor and his wife have two teenaged daughters whom they brought to the Zootopia 2 premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday evening.

Bateman married Anka – whose mother is Anne de Zogheb – on July 3, 2001. 

Bateman’s five film roles with good pal Jennifer Aniston are 2006’s The Break-Up, 2010’s The Switch, 2011’s Horrible Bosses, 2014’s Horrible Bosses 2, and 2016’s Office Christmas Party. 

He has also been on two hit TV shows in recent decades: Arrested Development and Ozark. 

He’s won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award, and has been nominated for a Directors Guild of America Award. 

Bateman has also been in the films Couples Retreat and The Change-up. He worked with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in the Nike movie Air. 

His sister Justine Bateman is also famous as she was on the series Family Ties in the 1980s. 

Throughout the 1990s, Bateman struggled with an addiction to alcohol and drugs; he stated in a 2009 interview: ‘I’d worked so hard that by the time I was 20, I wanted to play hard.

‘And I did that really well… it was like Risky Business for ten years.’

Bateman has also told GQ magazine that it was hard being a child actor.

‘This business, to a young kid, is kind of a mind-f***,’ he shared with the publication.

‘This is one of the reasons I don’t really recommend parents putting their kids in the business as an actor.’

He then shared: ‘I grew up training myself to pretend to be other people. If you do that at an age where you’re trying to figure out who you are, which is when you’re a kid, you don’t develop schizophrenia, but you can really slow down an organic process, which is trying to find your identity.’

The Hollywood icon finished with: ‘I didn’t really have a great engine to navigate this confusing period of my life.’
