Viewers of The Fortune Hotel surprised to see contestant from previous reality TV show

The Fortune Hotel viewers have been left baffled after they realised that one of the show’s contestants has already been on a reality TV show that aired just two months ago.

Reality TV fans were quick to spot that Louie, who appeared on the show alongside his best friend and business partner Chloe, has already been on E4’s The Underdog: Josh Must Win, which aired throughout March and April.

Confused viewers are questioning how the same contestant can end up on two reality shows within the space of just a few months, joking that he must be ‘desperate for his moment of fame’.

Others are suggesting that his former TV stint could be linked to why his duo was the first to leave the show, as he and Chloe were booted off the reality programme at the end of the first episode.

After a suitcase swap, they were left with an empty case and a checkout card, leaving them branded ‘The Unfortunates’.

The Fortune Hotel, which began on Monday night is dubbed as the newer, glossier and more charming version of The Traitors.

The show sees its participants having to lie to each other, take part in challenges and figure out who the betrayers are as they stay in a luxury Caribbean resort.

Hosted by Stephen Mangan, the new ITV game show whisks ten couples away to the fancy hotel to give them the chance to win £250,000.

Meanwhile, Josh Must Win saw a group of contestants compete in a popularity contest in a new and unique environment.

But what they didn’t know is that their fake popularity show – The Favourite – was just a front for a much bigger game at play.

As the contestants were kept occupied trying to be the most popular, they were none the wiser that secretly living next door was a group of celebrities.

The celebs – Amber Rose Gill, Pete Wicks and Vicky Pattison – played their own game alongside the contestants selected from the general public, doing everything they can to make sure that Josh must win.

Louie made it far and did well on the E4 show, bagging a huge £10,000 prize. But, his luck ran out on The Fortune Hotel, which saw him leave after just one day with nothing.
