Brooke Hogan has been trying to put the past behind her as she mourns the death of her father Terry, better known to his millions of fans as Hulk Hogan.
The About Us singer, 37, was estranged from the professional wrestler who died of a heart attack at age 71 on July 24.
The former Hogan Knows Best star still recalls some of the final words she spoke to her father before the rift.
In an interview with TMZ, Brooke said she was uncomfortable with some of the people in Hulk’s entourage, but pointed out that did not include his wife Sky Daily, 46.
‘The estrangement is a boundary,’ she explained, ‘So I didn’t like certain people he was around. It wasn’t Sky, it was a number of people that I did not trust, that I had seen behavior in, and I said, “Dad, flashing yellow signs.” Like, “Hey, this is messed up. Are you going to do anything about it?”‘
She explained that the six-time WWF champion was ‘never alone. He was always with someone.’

The grieving daughter said during one of their last conversations ‘he gave the sentiment of like, “Well, I guess you have to live your life and I have to live mine.”‘
‘That was kind of how it was left,’ she said.
In another part of the interview she described a harsh interaction with her father witnessed by a contractor working on a house for them.
‘The contractor texted me — and said, “Are you OK, kid? That hurt me watching what I saw.” My dad had become a little bit callous in his old age, and that’s OK,’ she explained.
Brooke reiterated several times that she had no issue with Hulk’s widow, Sky, but did reveal the Thunder in Paradise star had some reservations about marrying again.
‘If I broke up with her, it’d be bad,’ he reportedly told Brooke, but when she asked why, he only answered ‘I don’t wanna get into it.’
She said they had respectful disagreements via text regarding whether he should break up with Sky at one point telling her ‘Well, I haven’t approved of who you’ve dated.’
Brooke revealed she thought his behavior was ‘childish’ and would make her cry. ‘There were hurtful things that he kind of said,’ she explained.

To honor her father’s memory, Brooke and her husband, former NHL star Steve Olesky, 39, took their seven-month-old twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, to the beach.
Gene was the late wrestler’s middle name.
‘Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved,’ she shared in an emotional post on social media.
Brooke and Olesky married in a private ceremony in Orlando in June 2022. Her father was not in attendance.
