Delta Goodrem has candidly revealed the one thing she refused to do on her wedding day.
In June, the Aussie singer pulled out all the stops when she wed Matthew Copley in a no-expenses-spared ceremony in Malta.
However, the one thing that wasn’t on the cards was a song by the Born To Try hitmaker.    Â
‘I had no intention of singing,’ she told the Herald Sun when it came to her big day.Â
‘We are blessed to get to do what we love on stage and sharing that is the best ever, so I didn’t feel the need to do that at the wedding.’
The 41-year-old added: ‘All my family and friends, I ask them to come to shows all the time, they don’t need that for my wedding.’

Delta shared a first look at her lavish wedding with Vogue Australia in July in photos captured by Matt Porteous and Becky Lee Brun.
The singer said ‘I do’ at the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina before moving the celebrations to the gorgeous Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar.
‘June 2025, Husband and Wife. It was more magical than we both could have dreamed,’ Delta wrote in an emotional caption on Instagram.
‘We said I do under the Maltese skies in a family fairytale wedding brought to life by so many angels surrounding us,’ she continued.
‘We are holding on to every memory from that moment, the love, the laughter, the happy tears and dancing till the sun came up.’
Delta’s first look was an off-the-shoulder wedding gown with a racy sweetheart neckline, designed by South Australian fashion designer Paul Vasileff.
The French tulle gown featured gorgeous lattice detailing and a two-and-a-half metre train. She finished her look with diamonds from ANTON Jewellery.
Delta said she worked with the designer over three months to create a gown that felt ‘super personal and very special.’

‘Paul and I connected the second I got engaged, and we started working together immediately,’ Delta told Vogue of the couture creation.
The gown, which took around 500 hours to make, included nods to the couple’s romance, including their wedding date, a pair of swans, and cherubs embroidered into the fabric.
Delta’s makeup was done by Noni Smith and her hair was styled by Michael Brennan.
Her groom, meanwhile, was dressed in ‘head-to-toe’ Tom Ford.
The wedding, planned by Sarah Young Luxury Events and Weddings, and Wonder Event, went off without a hitch.
