Tammy Hembrow has lifted the lid on her divorce from Matt Zukowski and her struggles navigating it in the public eye.
The fitness influencer announced that she and the Love Island star were parting ways back in June after only seven months of marriage.
Now, the 31-year-old has sat down on her sister Emilee Hembrow’s Nova podcast Let’s Be Real alongside her sister Amy to reflect on the public scrutiny she faced during her breakup.
‘Dealing with my divorce and everything so publicly is really difficult because there’s so many different emotions,’ she candidly revealed.
‘It’s humiliating, it’s heartbreaking…’
The mum-of-three went on to say that, despite her life looking perfect on Instagram, she really ‘was not coping’ in the wake of her split from the reality star, 30.

‘I honestly haven’t coped. In the beginning, I really was not coping well with it and I feel like it’s definitely changed my perspective on a lot of things, especially future relationships.’
Tammy added that her new outlook on love was frustrating, as she still has dreams of finding love, but she knows being in the public eye complicates it.
‘Even if I just go on a date, it’s everywhere. And it’s really frustrating to deal with that.
‘But I just need to not care what people think because at the end of the day, every experience is a learning experience, and I’m just trying to learn and grow from this experience.’
Five months ago, Tammy announced that she was getting a divorce in an emotional TikTok video.
‘I don’t want to get into the details and I want to be sensitive to everyone involved,’ she said in the clip.
‘Obviously when you marry someone, you do it thinking that it is going to be forever and I blame no one but myself,’ Tammy continued while breaking down in tears.
‘I’ve made not the best choices when it comes to relationships. I’m good at putting on rose-coloured glasses.

Matt and Tammy got engaged in December 2023 after just three months of dating.
They tied the knot almost a year later, in November 2024, but rumours of a split began to circulate earlier this year.
Tammy was most recently linked to AFL star Bailey Smith after they were spotted on several dates together.
