Food Influencer Michael Duarte Shot by Police After Threatening Deputy with Knife

Food influencer Michael Duarte was killed by police responding to a 911 call involving a ‘male subject with a knife acting erratically’ on November 8 in Castroville, Texas.

Law enforcement alleged to TMZ that Duarte ‘approached officers threateningly’ and after repeatedly being warned ‘to get on the ground by the deputy’ he did not back down.

The the Medina County Sherriff’s Office went on to detail Duarte’s final moments as they claimed he  ‘charged toward the deputy while yelling, “I’m going to kill you.”‘

This led the deputy to fire two shots, which struck Duarte.

Although he was treated immediately at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital, police confirmed he was later pronounced dead.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Medina County Sherriff’s Office for comment, but have not heard back, at this time.
