Zoe Ball Moves Mystery Man Into Home After Ex Fatboy Slim Calls Her ‘Soulmate’

Zoe Ball has revealed she’s moved a mystery man into her home and that he has ‘more awards than her’.

The presenter, 54, was previously married to Fatboy Slim DJ Norman Cook, 62, for 18 years before their split in 2016. 

The pair have remained close friends with Norman even calling Zoe his ‘soulmate’. Together, they co-parent their children, Woody, 24, and Nelly, 15.

Appearing on her Dig It podcast on Wednesday, Zoe hinted at a potential new chapter in her personal life. 

Discussing Christmas gifts with co-host Jo Whiley, Zoe recalled a moment the mystery man caught her using a massage brush.

She said: ‘I’ve got this thing that I bought online, which is sort of like you hold the handle and it’s loads and loads of different bits of wood and you whack your legs and your underarms with it.

‘And it really helps circulation. I think it’s quite good for lymphatic drainage. And I bought loads of them for people for Christmas.

‘I bet you all my friends don’t use them either. But it’s upstairs gathering dust and I’m going to get that out and I’m going to thwack my legs with it.

‘I remember the first time the lodger walked in and saw me doing it, and just sort of turned on his heels.’

Jo then asked: ‘And he’s still around. He’s still in your life?’ 

‘He’s still here at the moment. He’s still lodging,’ replied Zoe.

While the presenter did not reveal the name of her lodger, she explained how he has more awards than her.

Speaking about her awards stash at home, she said: I think I got a Sony for turning up, which is very nice.

‘No, I did get a Sony and it was given to me by Marianne Faithfull.

‘I was well chuffed, really chuffed. And I think Caner of the Year for something I can’t remember.

‘We won a BAFTA for the last ever Live and Kicking, which was amazing. But I don’t even have a copy of it. 

‘I need to get one and put it on the… Yeah, the lodger has won loads of awards…. I need to up my…’

Jo added: ‘Well, you need to get these awards (lodger) and put them on behind you now on the mantelpieces around you. Steal them. That’s fine.’

Zoe joked: ‘Yeah. Maybe I’ll just stop making myself some.’

Daily Mail has contacted Zoe’s representative for further comment. 

It comes after ex Norman gushed about his close relationship with his ex-wife Zoe.

In an interview to promote his coffee table photo book looking back at his incredible career, Norman has reflected on his enduring relationship with his ‘soulmate’ Zoe.

Praising his ex for her support when they both rocketed to fame in the 1990s, Norman mused: ‘In the 90s, I was having too much fun to think about the next day or the next thing. It was like being on top of a big wave and you had to stay on.

‘You concentrate on not falling off. It became a whirlwind, but to be honest Zoe helped me through it as she knew that level of fame before.’

Speaking to The Mirror, he gushed: ‘Zoe is a very kind, thoughtful person and she just had this way of just checking my ego like “We are still human beings. We are still nice to people.”‘

‘She brought me through the trickier bits. If you are out with your mates you can’t say to them “I am having trouble coping with fame.” You are not going to get a lot of sympathy.

‘But to Zoe I could say “I am a bit scared. Is this not scary?” We could talk about it as we were thrust into the same spotlight. It was nice to have a soulmate in there with you.’

Zoe’s last public relationship was with former construction Michael Reed.

The pair were together for five years before their split in 2023, with sources told The Sun the relationship began to break down after Michael became ‘a bit demanding’.

The publication reported that Michael has since been asked by the TV star to move out of her £1.5million sprawling Sussex home.

The source said: ‘Zoe is gutted but she’s better off without Michael.’

‘This is a relief to many of her friends, who think she has done the right thing,’ they added.

They went on to say that the couple had began arguing over ‘really silly things’ like Zoe spending time on the phone chatting to friends.

And despite Michael being a ‘real gent’ when they first began dating, he had allegedly since become ‘a bit demanding’.

Going on to say the couple also began to drift apart with Zoe heading off on a holiday with her family Cyprus last month without him.

With the source saying: ‘Now it seems the relationship has finally run its course. She asked him to move out and he has done so, although they have remained on good terms.’

Before Michael, she began dating cameraman and technician Billy Yates, who tragically died by suicide in May 2017 after a long battle with depression.
