A radio producer-turned-podcaster is set to expose the dark side of the modern adult entertainment industry in a gritty new web series.
Joshua Fox, who once worked for The Kyle & Jackie O Show, is set to stream a new YouTube show, Spicy Summer, to expose the little-known reality of OnlyFans.
Set to go live on November 16, the series reveals teenagers are now counting down the days until they become legal adults and can make money on the raunchy website.
‘We’re now at a point where we’re seeing the impact this has had on society,’ says in a trailer released to YouTube on Tuesday.
‘Years ago, young people aspired to be astronauts, actors, popstars. Now, their models are adult content creators.Â
‘They think it’s a quick and guaranteed gateway to become rich and famous. But the issue is, that just isn’t true.’Â

One budding OnlyFans star in the series, Willow, who is only 19, says all her friends dream of becoming adult stars when they turn 18 because it’s more attainable.Â
‘No girl’s growing up saying they want to be Taylor Swift because that would never happen,’ she says.
‘But we can be like the OnlyFans girls. We can get rich like they have.’Â
Joshua goes on to show scenes of famous Australian OnlyFans star Anna Paul being mobbed by fans at meet-and-greets and being recognised while out at events.Â
In the series, Joshua follows four sex workers—Willow, from regional NSW, Gigi, 24, from Sydney, Maxine, 23, from Melbourne, and Arabella, 27, from London.
The budding adult stars are put through Australia’s very first ‘OnlyFans Academy’, created by Joshua in collaboration with adult agency XX MGMT.Â
‘I took [XX MGMT’s] onboarding process and created a curriculum for aspiring creators,’ Joshua explains in the trailer.
‘Together, we spent months searching for four very different models all at very different levels and from different backgrounds with different stories.Â

‘Through the lessons we developed, I want the students to ask themselves, is this really what they want? And is it worth it?’
The clip goes on to show the women going through a series of increasingly difficult challenges and lessons as they learn what it takes to be successful on OnlyFans.
At one point, Willow can be seen breaking down in tears when faced with one of these challenges, saying: ‘I just don’t know if I can do it.’Â
Other scenes see the girls doing photoshoots in racy clothing and accosting strangers on the street.Â
‘It’s like you have to live in the now but then you also have to consider what you’re doing, is it going to ruin your reputation?’ says Gigi.
‘My end goal is to have kids and a family and marriage. I don’t want to sabotage myself.’
Gigi could then be seen stripping down for a photoshoot as she wore raunchy underwear and Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again hat.Â
‘I want them to understand the dangers that come with this industry. How this will impact their other dreams,’ Joshua goes on to say.
‘No girl’s growing up saying they want to be Taylor Swift because that would never happen. But we can be like the OnlyFans girls. We can get rich like they have,’ Willow says
‘The toll it will have on their mental health. I want them to really ask themselves, how far are they willing to go and what lines are they willing to cross?’ he adds.
Joshua once worked as a journalist before moving into a producer role at KIIS FM for The Kyle & Jackie Show.
Now, he hosts his own podcast, MAFS Funny, and co-founded the AIIMS Creator Hub in January with fellow radio producer Pedro Cuccovillo Vitola.Â
Spicy Summer: Bondi Beach will begin streaming on YouTube on Sunday, November 16.
