Hilary Duff appears to have taken aim at Leonardo DiCaprio on her new single, Mature.
Fans of the singer believe that the pop-rock tune, which is about a man who only dates younger women, is filled with thinly-veiled references to DiCaprio.
The actor, 51, is notorious for dating supermodels aged 25 and under.Â
DiCaprio has been with his current squeeze, 27-year-old Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, since 2023, making her one of the oldest women he’s ever been linked to.Â
Duff doesn’t mince words on Mature, crooning, ‘She’s me, I’m her in a different font / Just a few years younger, a new haircut / Very Leo of you with your Scorpio touch.’

Not only does she mention Leo, the Oscar-winning actor is also a Scorpio.Â
Fans have also dug out potential other references to DiCaprio, including a line in the song about a Basquiat artwork.Â
‘Going down on her on your vintage rug / Bet she’s so impressed by your Basquiat / And she thinks you’re deep in the ways you’re not,’ she sings.
DiCaprio famously owned a $9million Basquiat painting that he received as a gift from disgraced Malaysian businessman and fugitive Jho Low.
Another line from the song sees Duff singing, ‘Hid my car at Carbon Beach so I wasn’t seen at yours / You knew better of course.’
DiCaprio purchased a Malibu home in 1998, which had direct access to Carbon Beach, according to Architectural Digest.
Further adding to the theory that Mature may allude to DiCaprio, some fans have dug up a past song Duff wrote about an older man that they believe could reference the Titanic actor.
The 2007 song, titled Danger, features the line, ‘Were you born in ’74? Are you the kind of guy that I should ignore?’
