Aimee Lou Wood Finds Love with Adam Long Amidst White Lotus Speculation

Aimee Lou Wood’s new series Film Club has seen her walk away from filming not only with another hit series on her CV, but with a new love.

The actress, 31, has been praised for her portrayal of a movie enthusiast with agoraphobia, and in a sweet twist she is now dating Adam Long, 34, who plays her boyfriend on the show. 

Film Club is Aimee’s new project following on from the success of The White Lotus – which saw her at the centre of romance then feud rumours with her on-screen lover Walton Goggins, 54. 

The pair were forced to clear up the whispers after they threatened to overshadow the show’s success, insisting that there was nothing underhand about their on-screen chemistry and later frosty social media antics. 

Now, Aimee is loved up with Adam, and while on the show her character is torn with feelings for her friend, behind the scenes it’s clear she only had eyes for Adam.

Even amid her love triangle storyline, Aimee and Adam’s chemistry is clear to see on the show, with the pair sharing an incredibly passionate embrace in the first episode.

Adam was quick to heap praise on his girlfriend when discussing the series, stating: ‘I think what makes Film Club really stand out though is Aimee. 

‘As a person she is so completely unique, and her voice runs so deeply through the series.’ 

He praised her again when promoting the show, posting on Instagram: ‘Happy Film Club day! Today feels like Christmas. 

‘I’m bursting with pride and excitement that the world finally gets to see this special show! Created with such care, humour and heart by @aimeelouwood & @ralphdavis95’. 

The series follows Evie (Aimee) who sets up a film club with her best friend Noa (Nabhaan Rizwaan) where their unspoken feelings for each other grow.

Aimee recently revealed that watching Film Club back helped her learn about herself. 

The actress was diagnosed with ADHD this year and is undergoing further tests to see if she is autistic. 

She told Radio Times: ‘When I watched Film Club back, I realised I was telling myself loads of things with the neuro-spiciness. 

‘Basically, it’s about a girl who’s working out she’s autistic, and I didn’t know that about myself when I was writing it. It was all subconscious.’

She added in a press release: ‘Evie and I are not the same, but there’s a lot about her that very much resonates with me and is an expression of me for sure. 

‘It’s more after I’ve watched the series back that I’ve realised how much I was channelling or expressing, even sub-consciously.’

Aimee filmed Film Club with Adam in late 2024, a year after she spent time in Thailand filming The White Lotus. 

The HBO show rocketed her to fame, however, much scrutiny was placed over her relationship with Walton Goggins, 54, who played her on-screen lover, Rick. 

Aimee and Walton’s sizzling on-screen chemistry and social media activity sparked questions about their relationship off-camera.

Yet they were then reported to be locked in an intense feud after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Fans were also left questioning about Walton and Aimee’s status when he notably walked out of an interview with The Times when the actress was brought up on more than one occasion. 

He had told the publication, ‘I’m not gonna have that conversation. There is no conversation to be had about that.’ 

In June the pair finally addressed the speculation about their relationship, with Aimee declaring ‘I think it’s such a comment on where we’re at culturally,’ she said over the online fury. 

‘Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant. We don’t give a s**t about Instagram.’

Meanwhile, Walton – who has been married to director Nadia Conners since 2011 – declared: ‘I love this woman [Aimee] madly, and she is so important to me.’

Aimee went public with Adam at the Emmy Awards in September, which was also attended by Walton and his wife. 

Adam who is best known for his role as convict Lewis Whippey in Happy Valley has not spoken publicly about his love life. 

Aimee’s last known relationship was with her Sex Education co-star Connor Swindells, who she split from in 2020 after two years together. 

Connor, 28, who stars in SAS Rogue Heroes, is now married to Peaky Blinders star Amber Anderson, 32.
